This school is AMAZING! Beautiful facilities, experienced and loving teachers and an extremely safe school, the addition of smart boards and ipads for the students shows that this school is moving forward when so many are cutting back. Great sports programs, specialized classes with dedicated PE, art and music teachers. The other comments that the teachers and administration know every child there is absolutely true. They recently expanded to add more classes per grade and both my children have 15 kids in their class. I cringe every time I hear a parent elect to send their kids to a public elementary schools and then switch to private in middle school. There is a huge difference in the character of the children who have attended SCS in elementary school and those who transferred in for middle school.

BEST SCHOOL EVER!!!!!!!!!! YOU MUST SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU WANT A GOOD EDUCATION FOR THEM! Excellent teachers Strong principal/school leadership Challenging academic programs
My children went to school here for 3 years and now are in a public school where they are learning much more academically. There was alot of bullying and certain children the administration just looked the other way when they picked on and bullied others. Certain children also always seemed to get the better teachers. It was aweful and I am glad we are at a different school.

I put our daughter in this school. She has excelled beyond belief. I had my child in pine crest, and she could not keep up academically. This school is for the child that is average and wants to excel. The academic and social life is wonderful for a child. The teachers are wonderful except the prepaid lunch program had us in a snag for 2 weeks, but overall, the teachers are very caring, personalized and made it so we did not have to get a tutor. I love the way the structure of the school and all the kids that live nearby in the area.

We left after 4 years 1. Not impressed by the teachers overall. Yes, there are a (slim) few great ones, but the majority are not quality. More yelling at the students then teaching. Academically the school is just "ok". Technology & Enrichment lack. 2. There is little compassion or love for the children. The office staff are harsh and not welcoming to parents or students. The business office is extremely rude. They do not keep good records and are not up to date with any business software. Keep your ck register handy, you will need to keep up with their mistakes. 3. Sad, but the kids attitudes takes on that of the faculty and staff. Overall the students are disrespectful to adults and each other. 4. Bullying is not addressed appropriately. If you do need help with a situation, be prepared to wait a long time to be addressed. 5. Lunch menu is not nutritional. Many complaints by parents and students. Same family that runs bus. office runs lunch room, always errors on prepaid lunch cards. There is good & bad at every school, but overall kids & parents deserve a better education and enviro. for the $.

My child went here for 2 years, I removed him last year and put him back into Public school where he is getting a much better education, this school is behind in Math and the 5th gr science/Social Studies teacher is a JOKE! The 6th gr classes have 35 kids in each class, after the teacher having to explain a math problem to my child, what she made a big deal of then suggested that he get a tudor. There are so many kids the teachers dont have any quality time with the kids (who are jam packed into each class) We encountered behaviour issues from another child that were not addressed properly by the principal. Total waste of $$ When the other review stated girls are favored here... its true! We lived it for 2 years!

Very over rated Academically not what it is proclaimed to be. Behind in Math, Science and other core subjects compared other Catholic schools.. Treats children juvenile and doesn't prepare them for the next step in their lives, At the end of the day, even 7- 8th graders have to be picked up, and signed out in classroom by parent or adult. No car line after school offered. My experience with Principal was not positive in anyway. I found her to be overbearing, unreasonable and difficult to work with. Glad we made the switch.

I have three children currently at the school. I have read several of these reviews, some on here are over three years old. I would like to point out that no school is perfect and I will not try to say St. Coleman is. However, the principle, Dr. Lori St. Thomas, does an incrediblle job of knowing each student. Not just their name and grade, but their personality and how they are doing inside the classroom. The teachers are some of the most dedicated I've ever seen. They will go beyond the classroom to help a student. One reviewer made a comment about the parents not being involved. I am not sure where they came up with that. Each parent is required to volunteer 30 hours a year by helping out in the school. This may be by being a room parent, lunch room helper, health clinic volunteer, the school does so many events through out the year that the only way a parent cannot be involved is if they choose not to. Class size has been lowered by the building of a new addition to the school and adding more classes. My 1st grader has 17 kids in his class, 4th grader has 22 & my 6th grader (middle school) has 29. This is an excellent school to be a part of.

Not only are the academics lacking compared to nearby public and private, the parent teacher communication is poor at best, the leadership is comparable to that of the head cheerleader on a middle school sports team, the parent involvement is very low, teacher quality is left to be desired, poorly behaved students, class size way too large. I hope you are getting the point to look beyond a possible school riding on its reputation's coattails from long ago. There is something that just doesnt make sense or feel right here.

This school is the best school I have ever been to. The principal, the vice principal, the teachers, the students, the lunches and everything else is wonderful. The church is great too. They have so many cameras so every child will be safe. This is a big Happy family! Everyone is welcomed. They treat the children as their own.

I am a parent and my children have attended this school for the past 14 years. When I think about us leaving this school this year, I am saddened. My children have been blessed with this wonderful school environment. I feel blessed to have been a part of the Saint Coleman family.

This is a 'good' school and lets leave it at that...For the money, things just dont add up! Stuffing fourty students in one class is just not my idea of an amazing school. How is anyone supposed to absorb and retain any information under those circumstaces!! And the homework is just another story-3 hours+ Look into other options.

This school changed my life, I have the best friends ever and all the teachers are amazing. My grades have improved since I came here and they just keep getting higher. I highly reccomend this school!
