Teachers at Charlotte seem to have genuine concern for the students. They could challenge the students more but the school seems to be well rounded and keeps in touch well with families.
This school was a great school, with an easy learning program called a.c.e., which is only for k-4. But now as a student who is struggling greatly, in the new SOS(Switched On Schoolhouse) program, I would have to say that this school is not for a child who recently grew up in the public school system. If you have a child who is young and is either starting school or is in grades from k-4, this school may spark your interest. But, it is very hard once they are in the middle and high school years.
All 3 of my children have attended this school. My high school daughter currently attends. We moved out of state for a while and have been in the public school system on and off for years. Although the education is different, this school is the best ever we have dealt with. The staff are wonderful loving Christian people and have been such a blessing to our family. When it comes to the environment of public high school, we would sacrifice whatever we had to so that our children can stay here what I meant by the difference in education is, in public school the children are all pushed along together through many courses. Here, your child will work at their pace and not be advanced into another subjected until they fully understand and have mastered their course.. Thanks Calvary Ministries for your support and all you do for our children.
My 8yr old son has attended since he was just turning 6 yrs old. The teachers tested and started him on a 9-week program that taught him how to read. After he sucessfully completed the program he 'got skipped' to the 1st grade. The student - teacher ratio for their K-1 program was 6 to 1. He has continued, along with my 12yr old daughter, for the past three years. They are both honor role students. Thanks to the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education)program my children have learned how to study independently, set goals, accomplish them and receive reinforcement of Christian values and morals. I suggest that every parent with concern of their children's education take a look at PCCS. It's a great school!
