As a previous teacher at this school, I would NEVER send my own children here. Turnover is a major problem. Some, not all, teachers are inconsistent and just seem lazy. The office side is a complete joke, and the owner is only worried about money and not about educating the children. I loved my lead teacher there to death, but after she left the whole school started to fall apart. A child facility should be about educating the young minds that we see every day. Not about giving them ditto s and busy work. RMS is just a fancy name to over charge parents... I would not recommend sending your children here.
We attend this school as part of the VPK program and fond that a numbers of supervision problems existed. The staff became defense in my inquires and refused to allow an"open door policy" without making an appt in advance. My child was bitten, scratched and had her underwear pulled down. After the last incident I removed her. I also learned that they were not registered with the county for the 36 kids that they had in VPK and were only licensed for 12kids.
Both of my children attend RMS and we feel lucky to have such a high quality school in our area. We value education very highly and this school does an excellent job of exposing their students to more than your typical preschool cirriculum. They also do an excellent job of tayloring academia toward the needs of each and every child. It's a wonderful program and terrific school. We wouldn't send our children anywhere else because we only want the best for them.
My child has attended RMS for a year and a half, and I can't say enough GREAT things about the school. My son has been inspired to learn, and he loves showing us his latest accomplishments, which include doing multiplication in Kindergarten. His teacher is phenomenal - and I hope my younger child gets to have her as a teacher too.
My daughter has attended RMS for almost 1 year. She is 3 yrs old and she can write her name. Most importantly, she is aware of her surroundings, how her behavior affects others, and is learning about so many things that she would not in daycare. My family loves RMS. We do work with our daughter on learning new concepts so preschool only enhances what we teach at home. My husband and I feel that we have to be her first teachers and that helps with her wanting to learn more at school. She enjoys going to school every day.
Safety are a major issue at this school Unfortunately I don't feel the Brandon location can truly make up for the loss at Riverview. Too much unsupervision goes on or they seem to accept all kinds of troubled children they are not capable of controling form injuring others. Bullying, Biting, among others types of things that happen as young as prechool.
