I am really happy with the school and the teacher. Each year I find that the teachers are not teaching the class but my child. And I recently discovered that she is in the some gifted classes. I am one proud mama, and happy that the school recognized my child's need to be challenged.

I have had one son go through this school since 1 st. Grade and a daughter in 4 th grade that has been there since kindergarten. I have also volunteered often. My son was in school in Tampa for part of first grade and after 3 months it was time move. We love this school overall. Most teachers are awesome. There are times you may come across a teacher you are not thrilled with, mine was Ms. Holmes. I had to talk with her firmly. The good thing is you can request to not have a certain teacher as they may change grades they teach the next year. Sometimes you have to be proactive in school and life, follow the chain of command and changes will prevail. One teacher you may disagree with does not make the school " bad". It truly is a good school given the amount that has to be taught in a short time.

My daughter started kindergarten this year and LOVES it. She's excited to go each day and really enjoys the HOST program after school. She doesn't want to leave when I go to pick her up! She's already developed into a fluent reader and excels in Math. Her teacher finds ways to challenge her and stretch her skills in all areas. I am very happy with this school.

This was the 1st year for my boys going to Boyette Spings. We moved here from up north. The teachers in this school do not care. I also called and spoke with the guidence counsellor , she told me she would call me back and she never did. The only time the teachers decide to help your child is when the FCAT gets close.

My son has been going to Boyette Springs for 2 years. I find the principal, Nancy Dukes, outstanding. I also have found most teachers to be excellent. I volunteer on a regular basis and hope a few more parents would get involved. Other than that, a great school!

Boyette Springs Elementary has the most positive and focused teachers. They care deeply about all the students and their programs are great.
Boyette Springs Elementary is a great school. The teachers, staff, and administration are always available to answer any questions. The principal and vice-principals consistent presence on campus during the day shows their devotion to knowing every aspect of the school. It is a great thing to see them know so many children by name. Boyette Springs Elementary is an A rated school as of 2008-09 school year. They are constantly working on ways to improve the school. The PTA is making great advances this year to have more volunteer opportunities for all parents and guardians while providing better ways for fathers to become more active. I look forward to many more years as a parent at Boyette Springs Elementary!

Boyette Springs is BY FAR the best elementary school I have ever attended, the teachers are all open-eared, the coaches are always bubbly ! the principal is beyond grateful to have so many students. I'd rate this school a 9 out of 10 ~ I hope kids have a good time in K-5 cause I sure did, it's a good memory to look back on, to see kids having a good time. Its great. from personal experience 1-5.

I have been a parent at Boyette Springs for many years. My oldest daughter is went to Boyette from K-5 and is now in middle school. The teachers at Boyette throughly prepared her for the transition, both academically and socially. We never had a poor teacher. My son has entered into Kindergarten now. He again is having a wonderful experience. He is very bright and energetic. His teachers have found ways to direct his energy in a positive, academic way. This is a great school.

This is my daughter's first year at Boyette Springs Elementary and she loves it here. I love her teacher, Mrs. Pichardo's method of teaching! My daughter is in the 2nd grade and this is the first year she actually enjoys going to school. Mrs. Pichardo's teaching is also a way of fun for my daughter and she is academically doing great!

I have had two kids at Boyette Springs. I agree that I have seen some things happen in the past couple of years that I did not like. For example, losing the modified calendar - it was great! One of the main things is them hiring inexperienced teachers. My son had brand new teachers in K, 1st and 2nd and I finally urged that he get experienced teacher and he did. One thing to remember is that BSE is not the only school experiencing this problem - from talking to parents at other elementary schools apparently this is a county wide problem, not just a BSE problem. My older child had wonderful teachers and for the most part my younger one has also, just inexperienced. I have found administration prompt to address any issues or questions. Parent involvement is great and met some nice people.

Boyette Springs has definitely gone downhill... I can only thank my daughter for taking her academics serious and achieving despite the lack of culture & community! I must day the principal nancy dukes has been trying in addition to a few exceptional teachers we've had, however it takes a village to raise a child and I hope it does change before I am forced to place my 1st grader & kindergardener in another school!

My first year at this school was 2006-07 my child was in kindergarten and was extremely mistreated by his teacher. I have applied for special assignment 4 times since and have not been able to move my child and now I have another child that is going to have to attend this school for the year 07-08. I got to know some of the parents that have been there several years and there was not one that could name a 'good' teacher before the grade three. That should say it all..DP

We are unfortunately moving out of state and one of my concerns is leaving this school. My daughter just completed kindergarten and had a phenomenal teacher. (Mrs. Sargable) I felt she was safe, loved, and challenged academically in a rewarding fun manner. I felt welcomed to be a part of her learning by being welcomed to volunteer in many different areas including but not limited to her classroom activities. The parent involvement and PTA were great. Mrs. Sargable and her co teacher Mrs. Trask have the gift of being able to teach 30 some children at very different levels of knowledge to the very best of their personal best without frustrating or boring children at different levels. There were also evening art shows, a reading camp out, spring fling and other fun things parents could do with their children all offered on evenings and weekends to accommodate working parents.

Boyette is a very good school, my son will be in second grade and I could not have asked for more. There are a few things to work on but I love it there. As a parent I get to volunteer any day I wish, with the garden, copying, field trips, library, and many other things. A parent involved is the best type of parent.

I think BSE is a great school. My older son who is in high school went there and I have one still there. I am not thrilled about the focus on the FCAT but I know they are only doing what that they have to do. I think the entire faculty and staff put their best effort into making it a great place to learn. I hate to lose the modified calendar but I know the fault lies with the school board and not Mrs. Dukes or the School Advisory Council. I believe parental involvement has decreased a little but I feel it has to do with more working moms. The volunteers we do have are great and always willing to give 110%.

We love the way the modified calendar makes our daughter enjoy going to school. Unfortunately, the school district is now trying to end one of the best things at this school. The information about the proposed changing of the calendar back to a traditional calendar has been poor. I am afraid this change in the calendar will affect the feeder high schools in the area, since most of the top 10% of their graduating classes came from Boyette Springs. It is terrible that the vision of the last 13 years will be lost. -Darren
