If I could give this school a negative rating I would. There are a handful of excellent teachers here but the administration is horrible. I have had 2 children attend Giunta and keep giving them a pass for all the terrible things that happen. Luckily my kids are/were in advanced classes so they managed to learn a few things. The school has a uniform policy that is not enforced. I drop my child off and I am shocked at what the kids are wearing. Fights break out all the time. Kids have been caught under the stairs doing things kids shouldn't do. The school has been on lock down so many times that when I get the call about it I am no longer surprised. In fact it has become a tradition at our dinner table to talk about what happened at Giunta today, and its rarely good news. PE teachers take no responsibility monitoring the locker rooms and often fall asleep in class. Emails to administration aren't answered......need I go on? My advice to anyone thinking about sending their child to this school is, DON"T.

I was once a student here and I absolutely hated it! I was bullied there to the point where I was breaking down in the morning before school saying I didnt want to go to school and before I went to bed I'd start crying again. I switched schools & this school made me never want to go back to a public school & I NEVER will. So, thank you Giunta.

I recommend every parent to send there child to giunta because it's diverse and the teacher's do care about your child education,it's the kids choice if they want to be anything or even be successful if you hangout with the kids that get in trouble you will be face with the consequince you are the company you keep,i should know because i use to go to giunta half of 7th and 8th grade year 2009-2010 the best year at gms lol, but anyways at this age you should know right from wrong i'm lucky that i was well known only got in one fight but i'm still cool with the dude today but overall if you stay out of drama middle school will be great at any school i wish i could back to middle school.

Apparently, this school is known for it's issues with bullying. Also, I was told by another faculty member from Riverview high that they always receive poorly written up IEPs for incoming students. As a parent, I was not impressed with this school at all. I was even told that my son no longer needed speech & languages services. His high school was appalled. Schools today are failing miserably as it is. My son's reading level actually DROPPED.

i will say this is the worst school I've ever been to, but all my teachers this year are fantastic.! their fun and strict, and we always finish our work . yea, there fights but the quality of the school has been improving this year. if your kid says someone else got them into a fight, or got them a referal, they were hangin out with the wrong people, who stand out like sore thumbs, so u can easily avoid them. trust me, ive done iit for 2 years now.:)

I am not happy with Guinta. Teachers pick on certain students for no reason. I know my son is one of them. You can never get ahold of the principal and messages are not returned. Rules are not enforced. (Just look at all the boys with their pants down below their butt showing off their boxers. Seriously! What happened to the rule of having a belt?

There are always going to be fights at every niddle school and any school at all Giunta I will admit is rough and there are fights but if your children know how to stay away from trouble then you should be fine. My daughter was attending Giunta and she had a very good experience and there was never serious trouble and she knew how to just walk away and she enjoyed the relationships she had with her teachers

My child is in his 3rd year at Guinta and the violence and bullying continues. When my son complained to the assistant principals about the bully incident, nothing was done. This past week their were serveral fights. The same students continue to get into trouble and the administration continues to protect the 'troubled' students. They do not value nor care about the safety of the children who are 'really' trying to get a good education. I am going to pull my child out of Guinta this week. Enough is Enough! I am not going to wait until my child ends up in a body bag in order for this school to address the discipline problems.

My child has attended Giunta for 3 years. The first year was decent in 2006, but mid-way through 7th grade the school began to decline. The disrespect for authority and violence has swiftly increased with NO increase in disciplinary action by the administration to combat this. My child constantly remarks of distractions in the classes and weekly fights on campus. As a parent I have been extemely displeased with several of the teachers/admin ability to follow through after personal meetings, and the extreme lack of response to emails and voicemails. There is not much parental involvement here, but I am starting to see this is due to the lack of follow through by the teachers and administration when parents do reach out and volunteer their time. I personally filled out several vol. apps this year and have yet to be contacted. However, there are a few GREAT teachers here treading water.

This is the second yr there for both of my sons and this 2nd yr for some reason has been a bit of a problem for me. I am worried about my kids safety. There have been multilple fights in the school and a teacher actually got hit during a fight. another issue is the dress code. It is not being enforced as it should be. Pants sagging, mini skirts are way to short and I was not aware that they can wear flip flops. My son states he can't focus in class because of the rude talking during class or the fighting occuring every other day. Don't know what is happening in the school but administration needs to step it up!!

Giunta is an amazing school. Im an 8th grader there and the teachers are hard working and fun, there have a great connection to their students. Most of the teachers are fun to talk too when your done with work but there are 2 i can think of that dont belong there because they are mean, uncooperative and really quite lazy. The rest of the teachers have a really good understanding of the students and know just how hard to push us to do our best. I would like to thank my teachers for being awesome mr. Harada, coach rohdus, ms. Shroeder, ms. Wylie and ms. Colburne. I would like to give even more thanks to ms. Wylie who hasnt giving up on me even tho i still dont do my homework as often as i should

I love this school and it's only been about 5 weeks!!!!!! There of cource are some bad things that have happened which includes the fights (about 4 so far) and the bathrooms need some cleaning up but, The good things we have started our chocolate sell, going to natures classroom tomorrow, and having are wheel classes (which lets you try out a subject (band, chorus, cooking, orchestra, PE, etc.) this is one of the coolest schools!!!!! The best teachers of 6th grade (in my opinion): Mrs.Davis and Mr.White rule!!!!!!!

This is my daughter's second year at Giunta Middle School. She had a great year there last year, and so far this year is on track to be just as great. All of her teachers have been very friendly and communicative. If I ever have a question, I can send an email directly to the teacher, and it is usually answered the same day, and sometimes even within the same hour. The office staff and principals have been wonderful and very helpful. Also, most of the teachers post the homework on the school website, which is very helpful if you want to check to see if your child is doing all of their homework or if they were absent and need to see what they missed. There are sports programs offered for the students to participate in, and a wonderful music program, too. I highly recomment this school.

Giunta Middle School is an average school overall. The teachers are dedicated to preparing the students for their future. The administrators are top-notch and do everything possible to provide safety and sheltering of the students. However, some students have discipline problems and give the teachers and other students a difficult time. The school sports are okay. The track team is outstanding but there is no softball or baseball team. Other then those few mishaps, I am glad to say Giunta was where I spent my 7th and 8th grade years.

This school receives an A++ from me. This school focuses on academic achievment for the students and has a no nonsense policy for inappropriet behaviors. Children are geared toward success and achievment by very positive involvement and teaching techniques by the teachers. The teachers strive to provide special techniques to keep the children's attention and involvement.
