Collins Elementary School

My son LOVES this school, and I am quite pleased with it myself. He is always challenged. He has been here since Kindergarten, and will finish 5th grade in the 11/12 school year. We really feel he is lucky to have gone to such a wonderful school. I can only hope he has the same experiences later on in life!

We love this school. I am so happy with the 4th grade teachers Ms Brown and Ms Gannon. They are wonderful. I am so happy that my child loves school because of his teachers.

I cannot believe how wonderful this school is! since leaving an area charter school 3 years ago Our family couldn't be happier! Collins rates high in it's test scores - better than most in Hillsborough County! The principle and her Teachers are very good & friendly! Unbelievable how much interest they show in our kids! Lots of extras that are not forced on you or your kids - but are available if interested! A fabulous school worth sending your kids to!!! Very organized! Best in the area - just check test scores and parent reviews for proof!!!

Very pleased with Collins. My son has attended Collins for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. All three of the teachers he has had, have been wonderful!! I would absolutely recommend Collins to anyone. Very pleased with the school.

Collins is a great school as for the teachers, and the Principal. My child loves the challenge of the homework. In general its a great school. They have added more classrooms and hired more teachers to fit with the growing class size. The PTA of the school is also great and keeps the families up to date with what is going on, as well as keeping the school spirit. The only issue we have is SOME (not all them are there are a few helpful ones ) of the office staff who are rude and talks down to the parents. Of the few times I have been to the office to talk to them reguarding my child I have talked to other parents who have felt the same way about some of the office staff. In general the school is great. My child is learning and is happy that is all

I love this school. My child has attended for the last 1.5 yrs and I am a girl scout leader to 6 more girls from this school. I am impressed with the principal and teachers. The level of discipline is amazing. The kids do not talk in hall and they don't run around the lunch room. They run a tight ship. The Principal was a former principal at another school and brought only the best teachers with her to Collins. Most of the teachers are young and eager. They do so many extra activities throughout the year. The kids have so much pride in their school. My 1st grader was talking about life in India, which she learned in music class.

This is the first year of my kids in this school, they are so happy, no bullies, respect for the students, wonderful staff, i just love it, i wish i could know before about this school.

My son has been at this school since it opened and we were a little worried since he was coming from a Montessori school but everything worked out. His third grade teachers Mrs. Schaffer was wonderful, we could not have asked for a better teacher, she was wonderful and really worked with the students on getting ready for the FCAT. To this day, my son still uses the little tricks that she taught him for math. Thank you Collins and a big thank you to Mrs. Schaffer...
