We are extremely happy at this school. The staff and leadership ae always very professional, courteous and helpful. Our kids' teachers are great and we couldn't be happier with their progress. I love all the programs and family events they coordinate. Its very family-oriented which is something that's very important to us. One day I had a question about testing and the Principal stopped what he was doing and answered all my questions. I really appreciated that. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for family friendly, quality education/staff and a safe environment for your children.
I am a grandma to a new kindergarden child. School started today and I was very impressed with the security in place to protect our loved one. Thanks so much. My grandkids are my life!
At first I was impressed by meeting the principal and seeing the school, but then my experiences have said otherwise. We recently moved here and have had the worst experiences yet, for my child. I thought this was going to be a great school, here in florida, but from all of our experiences, I would say otherwise. If we did not live in this area then I would not choose this school. I am hoping to have a better year this upcoming school year but am still considering private schools. I will say that I do like how secure their school is but there is much more to a school but that. I wish the education systems in the US would change.
This school is okay. In fourth grade my teachers were mean and rough on us and we could be natural. It was like a boarding school. But in third gread I loved my teacher. She was the best teacher I have ever had! So If you child is going into third grade at this school they do so many great things but if they are going into fourth grade I don't recommend it. My sister was in first and second grade when we were there for two years. When she was in first grade she kind of liked her teacher so I might recommend it for your child if they are going into first grade but in second grade she loved her teacher very much and was sad when the school year ended so I do recommend it if your child is going into second grade. So this school is okay.
Both of my boys attended this school. I choiced them in due to the quality of elementary schools in the area. The staff is second to none. As with most schools, there are challenges with a few of the teachers. Luckily both of my boys had wonderful teachers. I was fortunate to be able to volunteer everyday. I couldn't find a better school to work with... except the PTA. They need help and better leadership. As far as the curriculum, it is district and state mandated. If there is a problem with what is being taught, it should be addressed at the district level. The school can only do so much...
Wonderful school... we find that the teachers are very attentive to their students & keep us very well informed about all 3 of our children that go here. Appropriate amount of homework given. All staff & teachers are super friendly & seem to genuinely care about the kids & parents. Highly recommend this school.
We transferred into this school in the middle of last year and they were all wonderful. We have had nothing but great results with this school and staff!
Ditto on the the Sept 23rd poster's comments. We, too, moved from PA and found that some of the things they are teaching in first grade have been taught to my son in kindergarten. While we had reservations about my son's teacher in the beginning, she has done well in keeping us informed of our son's progress and her expectations for the class.
Recently moved here from PA- seems schools here are about a year behind- my daughter completed all the things for this year last year.
This was our first year here and it was a great experience! Both my children showed much improvement in their grades coming from another school in the area. The teachers are wonderful - very sweet, caring and thoughtful. The school was given an 'A' rating this year. Very excited about a second year here!
