I am from the Northern part of the country, so needless to say the education is much different than down here in FL. I was very nervous moving here knowing how the schools were. Fortunately, I placed my daughter in school at RPBE and I (as well as my daughter) LOVE this school! She is now in 3rd grade and no complaints yet. Cant say enough about the teachers and Principal Watson and Gaugler are great!
I came from nyc dump school system and I did not want that for my daughter. I thank God that we found RPBES and my daughter is doing great. She has won honor roll three times and she is on her way to a good charter school at palms west. Thanks to every staff at the school and may God bless you all.
I thought this school was fantastic while my daughters were going there, but now after moving out of state, I can see that this school is beyond phenomenal. Although the schools my daughters are now attending are rated 9 and 10 (RPBES is a 7), they are nowhere near as excellent at RPBES. The principal and AP, Mrs Watson and Mrs Gaugler have done such an amazing job in ensuring high standards and a warm and caring atmosphere, professionalism among teachers and staff, and respect and kind behavior among the students. They also go above and beyond to encourage and support parent involvement, and reach out to the parents of all language backgrounds with their Parent Resource Center. All the families of RPBES are truly fortunate to have such an incredible school. I wish all the schools could follow this fine model.
This school has amazing teachers and administration. I have 2 children who attend that love everything about it!
This school is amazing! Everyone is so wonderful and caring. The teachers genuinely care about your child's overall well-being, personally and academically. The administration is so supportive and involved. Everyone at RPBE makes it so much fun to come to school. The atmosphere is so positive, the environment is so appealing and we couldn't have asked for a better school for our children.
This is a fantastic school. The teachers are caring and provide a great education for our kids, and the staff and support are fantastic!
I'm suprised at the positive rating. I'm not impressed with this school. The school is new, nice, everyone smiles but behind the scenes it is much different. Maybe this is more of a critique of our school system at large but there are issues. First, teaching and decisions appear to be driven by the FCAT tests and the desire to maintain the "A" status. It appears that each grade must now perform at a grade level above their actual age/grade. If your kid learns quick, you had them reading/writing going into school, they get A's and you view school as a race/competetion all will be well for you. If you or your child does not fit in the aforementioned mold/box then prepare for frustration. Your kid will be left behind. They'll put in supports to aide them but they'll get moved along w/o a solid foundation. But do not worry, they'll just end up failing the FCAT and be held back in third grade which is a much better solution to making sure kids learn correct and build on that foundation from day one (yes, sarcasm folks). The biggest part of being frustrated is getting lip service recognizing all these issues but providing no real solutions.
This school is phenomenal thanks to the great foundation of the principal Mrs Watson, and the assistant principal Mrs Gaugler. They create a great atmosphere for teachers, students, and parents. We have been here for 4 years and love it more each year. Every teacher my girls have had has been so professional, hard working, caring and creative. My girls love school and love learning due in large part to their wonderful experience here.
I am very happy with Royal Palm Beach Elementary. I feel that the teachers are extremely qualified and very caring. The school is absolutely beautiful with murals around every hallway. Classrooms have state of the art technology and computers to help the children learn. Many of the teachers have received money from grants they have written and have used the money in their classrooms to help the children.
RPBE is an excellent school with excellent teachers that goand do things above and beyond there expectation my son that have ADD and my doughter attend this school. I will be praying for all teacher staff at RPBE my son and doughter would like to say thanks to all there Teacher have a good school year for thoughout the rest of 2009....
RPBE is an excellent school with excellent teachers. My daughter attended this school from Kindergarten to 5th Grade. The teachers are all very nice and mostly all of them do an excellent job with the children. They all work together to make sure they are improving year after year. The principal Mrs. Watson is wonderful. She is always open to suggestions and welcomes your concerns. For a public school, this one is A+.
My son Logan started at RPBE in January of 2007. We came from a Private School in Broward. From day one the experience has far surpassed my expectations. Mrs. Watson is a wonderful leader and educator. She is very involved with the students and you never feel brushed off when coming to speak with her. She has an attentive ear at all times. Angela in the front and Nurse MaryBeth are angels from above in my eyes. Mrs. Gwynne was his teacher this past year for 2nd grade. If I had to write down all the wonderful things about her my list would be never ending..... She is what a teacher 'should be' and others should aspire to be more like her! My son is truly receiving a top notch education.
We would be spending over five thousand dollars this year on tuition. It was a miracle that we looked into our local public school for our daughter. We could not be more proud of RPB Elem. Our school has the greatest principal with the greatest team working with her. It is so clean. The children love the learning atmosphere. We apprreciate all of their dedication. Perfect school for families who want the most.
This community school offers a great education. The staff of this school go above and beyond to make learning fun and interesting, at the same time challenging and rewarding.
RPB elementary has been a great experience for my son. After moving from Massachusetts, I have been very impressed with the quality of the teachers and the school staff. I feel that my son has been right where he should be with the studies and it is very comparable to what we had up north. The teacher pushes my son to work his best. The only concern I have about the school is the traffic during drop-of and pick up times. It is very disorganized and needs much improvement.
My personal experience with Public Schools has been bleak, to say the least. My son Adam has Aspberger's syndrome (a form of autism) It causes Obsessive Compulsiveness. He is on medication for this. I cannot give enough praise to the teacher's and staff at Royal Palm Elementary! They truly care for the students. They give 110% + for all. They treat Adam as a boy, not as the kid with Aspbergers. When they say that Royal Palm Elementary is an 'A' school, it's no joke. Actually it's an A+. Over and beyond the norm. Truly--The only thing that is lacking--in all public schools--Is, Physical Education. Letter's need to be written by all.
This was my first experience with public schools in Florida since we relocated from the Northeast. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the Staff , the curriculum and the school itself. My child was in Kindergarten and I was thrilled to see that she was exposed to Fine arts as well as her regular studies. Some of the assignments given to her were not at all what I thought they would do in Kindergarten. They were not easy and I'm glad that she had a chance to really push herself besides just learning the alphabet and coloring. The PTO at this school is great-always coming up with fun , family-oriented activities. The aftercare program was wonderful as well. They kept her busy with lots of fun activities. The staff at this school is superb. They were all very helpful, friendly and caring. I felt secure leaving my child under their supervision.
All of the teachers we have come in contact with (two kids in all grades) have been very attentive and encouraging, with good control of the classroom and fostered a very good interest in learning.
