Do not bother placing your child or child to be on the waiting list. They will screw it up and you will be forced to find other alternatives when you think you are all set with them. We had our daughter on the waiting list 7 months before she was due to start. We confirmed during our tour in August as well. We called recently again to ask some questions only to find out that they could not "find" us on the list. Now with a month before my wife goes back to work we have to find daycare elsewhere. So much for being a good Christian establishment.
We are thankful for NorthBay Christian Academy for many reasons. First, NCA teachers possess unparalled compassion and commitment to each student. They lovingly challenge each child to reach their greatest potential. Since students are encouraged to explore, create, express, and analyze inside a godly environment, their confidence abounds. Their enthusiasm for learning is contagious! Second, homeschooling 2 days a week allows us to share in our children's academic, spiritual, and emotional growth. The homeschool days give a better understanding of our children's strengths and weaknesses. Third, the godly mentors at NCA are a constant source of encouragement. We have made lifelong friends who share a kindred spirit. We feel privileged to send our boys to a school where education reaches the heart!
What a true JOY it is to have this school! Like minded parents, a focus on Christ, superior academics, loving teachers, and the 2/3 home-school to in-school ratio makes this the best of both worlds. While the extra curricular and facilities are not the best, the tuition is low and it is a fair trade-off.
