I have two children that attend SCA. The school is academically superior to public schools. They also have a great fine arts and sports program. Some teachers are better than others as in all schools. Discipline issues are minimum. Tuition average but extra fees do add up quickly, especially if student in band. SCA seems to be investing money to improve school by adding gardens, replacing old buildings, etc. Great Christian environment with Bible taught daily.

SCA offers an excellent athletic program, fine arts program and curriculum. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and very family oriented. Communication with the faculty and administration is awesome. Disciplinary issues are dealt with immediately and a student will be asked to leave for inappropriate conduct, which may explain the previous negative comments. SCA is progressive and growing precipitately, especially the high school. The guidance counselor is very easy to reach and has been a valuable asset in preparing for college. We looked at several top notch private high schools in Tampa and choose SCA, and we are so pleased. SCA offers honors and AP classes as well as a variety of elective options. My daughter is a sophmore and loves it!

Not at all what we expected! We thought we had done our homework, but were sadly mistaken. Please be careful!

I have been going to this school since I can't remember. And let me say it is a true blessing. I've made so many friends. Its like a second home. The teachers are understanding and kind. They have excellent academic programs and the princibal is very understanding and will help you out with any situation ur facing in life. This school is blessed by God. You not only get an education but receive life lessons of all sorts. There are so many sports to choose from. I will miss this school when I have to leave. I know almost everyone there and they are the kindest of ppl. I love this school. And JESUS!

I have been a student now for three years in the highschool. I can't say that the school is perfect because nothing is in this world. The majority of teachers are great using humor and keeping interest. The students are above average, but like any other school there are cliches and students who are not interested, but i feel like i can really be free to express my religion here. We have all different denominations and no one really cares which one you are. You're loved equally wherever you go and we have chapels with alter calls that many students are touched by the message and feel free to go and worship. The administration is good, but not perfect. I have had problems with their absence policy that has caused me to fail a few classes and met an unwillingness to change or help me because it causes inconveniences. The sports are wonderful and coming from a public school, SCA has really helped me turn my life around. I can feel God in this school. I love it.

The whole school seems to have an idea that they are better and superior to people who are not members of their school. The staff and administration showed no compassion, whatsoever, and whatever "Christian example" and principles they were trying to display was nowhere to be found. Leaving this school made my child actually happy to be back in public school again.

We switched to SCA from a local Catholic School and could not be happier. All is going well. Teachers are easy to get in touch with and their response time is great. Principals know the students names and are excellent to work with. They are accepting of minority races unlike what a reviewer stated. Amazing that this is mentioned anyway. I guess everyone is looking for excuses these days. Leave our race card in the deck. The school is great. Must be why their attendance is booming. Check it out!!!

The staff and teachers are simply the best. Many improvements are being made to the school grounds to increase security and safety for the students and staff/teachers. They really keep the parents informed in the progress of the student. Communication with our daughter's teacher is simply an email or phone call away. Our daughter loves SCA and after the first year,SCA already feels like an extended family.

Seffner was the biggest blessing and I went there at just the right time! I left Grace Christian School to go to Seffner and it was the best decision I could have ever made! I loved it!!!! The faculty and students were so helpful, accepting, and supportive! I had so many great opportunities- drama, choir, NHS- that Grace never gave to me for reasons I still do not understand. They did not play favorites ag Seffner which is all I ever experienced at Grace. Even the students at Grace were cruel, as was the faculty (specifically one of the administrators). Chapel at Seffner was also amazing, and there are opportunities to be involved in chapel, which I never had the opportunity to do at Grace. There was often an altar call in chapel and many students are touched and their lives changed. I also like that Seffner doesn't bring up their point of view when it comes to different doctrines which was always an issue at Grace and caused many arguments. The math teacher at Seffner was amazing!!! I got an A+ in pre-calculus algebra at USF thanks to her class! Seffner was such a great experience.I look back at my time there and smile! I was miserable at grace, but at Seffner that all changed!!!

I can not say that my childs year there was great. Some of the teachers and faculty play favorites with parents who have more money to bring in to the school. I would like to see more of God's way moved into this school. I believe that to many teachers are married to the same family and it makes it unfair and difficult for people to discuss and needed changes.

My daughter and son attended this school and the experience was not good. teachers and staffs were very rude and they constantly looking for faults to complain about. Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not but they have no compassion and love. they are quick to judge and give judgement. What type of christian does that. They hardly accepted minority race to the school. I make sure I 've done my homework on that. I do not recommend that this school is in the best interest of your children

My daughter has been at SCA for 2 years now. She started in K5 and is now in first grade. I strongly believe that the quality education, staff and firm belief system of Christianity is and has been essential for my daughter for her childhood development. I highly recommend SCA to any parent wanting the absolute best for their child. As our children are our future!

I have more than one child at SCA - 10 years now. Christian principles are the reason SCA is successful. Those principles are put forward first by the leadership; the Duncan family, FWBC, then the administrators, teachers, students, and parents - we work together as a family. You came to this website looking for a good school, academics, athletics, etc. You didn't come here to hear me preach. This is an amazing educational opportunity, but I would be amiss if I did not keep alive the reasons this is such a great school; our faith, our priorities, our perspective on life, the influence that Jesus has on us. If you are ready to support Christian principles and you care about education, if you understand that we're not here to care only about ourselves, but that we're here to love one another..... then come be part of this SCA family.

I have two children that have gone to Seffner Christian since K4 & K5. They are now in 9th and 11th grade. I also worked at the school for 9 years. I quit last year to help with our family business or I'd still be there. Being a parent and having worked at the school has given me alot of insight not only on the school itself, but the people that work there. The whole atmosphere is centered on the students and parent interaction with the whole education process. The emphasis is on what's best for the students and their individual needs. When you enroll your child, you are really enrolling your family into a larger family. I cannot say enough about this school. My children will graduate from Seffner and my niece who is now in K5 will probably graduate from there also.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
