Osceola Middle School is not just your average school. Even though Osceola is not a fundamental school, we are taught like one. Parents are active in our community, they love helping. Our students, me included, are also very active. We have almost anything you can think to do. We have clubs from NJHS and Unclub to Archery and Volleyball. Our Deputy was awarded Resource Office for the State of Florida of the Year. Our teachers have multiple ways of teaching you, because they understand that people learn differently.GO CHIEFS!
Osceola Middle School is a 5 star school. We provide a great amount of extracurricular activities. The music program is fantastic. Our teachers teach everything you need to know about music. We have guitar, band, and chorus, etc. Our teachers and administrators are phenomenal. The SRO officer Deputy Darling was awarded the resource officer of the year for the state of Florida;now we have a safe school I would say. Our coaches pursue they students to get exercise.Every Wednesday we run a mile around the track. The principal, Mrs. Arsensault and our assistant principals are fantastic. They help the kids with anything new. If any of the students need to talk, we have wonderful guidance counselors. GO CHIEFS!!
Osceola Middle School is a marvelous School. I would select Osceola Middle School as my Middle School because there are so many fantastic programs to join! Some of your choices include: Art, Chorus, Band, Orchestra, AVID and many more. We have wonderful teaches and faculty like a guidance counselor and an assistant Principal for each grade level and our very own Deputy who was awarded resource officer of the year in the state of Florida.
Osceola Middle is a bully-free school; we make sure everything is safe here. The teachers, students, and our school staff are all friendly and respectful. Your unhappy days will disappear once you enter the gates of OMS. What makes our school a little more special? We have an AVID program. The AVID program gives kids an advantage or boost for high school and for our college readiness. Our school campus is pretty big. It is two stories, widely spread out, and it has open doors. I must say this school has a great environment. OMS has a dress code that isn t all that bad. Other than that, OMS has the potential to make you happy and succeed in your career and life
5 stars~Osceola Middle School, home of the Chiefs, is a unique school with extracurricular activities for all students and a great music and arts program. Also, if you re the gamer type, our computer lab has a gaming program for 8th grade students. Our school has an AVID program which you don t necessarily see in other schools. AVID is a college readiness program to give you the skills and tools you need to be successful throughout high school and college. We also have many other clubs like Unclub, NJHS, Character Club, and PMAC. Our school also has a beautiful campus which consists of a huge court yard, an outdoor caf , a running track, and a basketball court. OMS sports are a great success. We have a track and field team, a boys and girls volleyball team, a boys and girls basketball team, and cheerleaders. Our school would be a terrific choice for your child!
A neighborhood school committed to providing a quality education to every student! Our AVID program provides students with skills they need to be sucessful in our more rigorous classes.
I currently attend OSceola Middle School and, there is many extracurricular activities. The principal is fantastic and enthusiatic. There is many fundraisers and awreness programs that go on throughout the school year. The teachers are excellent and love children. Not to mention that we get our own personal laptops, which is proof that we are a top-notch school in Pinellas County. I hope that more people will see the excellence of this school.
OMS is the county's best kept secret. It is a wonderful middle with the best faculty, students and parents. ///
Osceola Middle is, wihtout a doubt, the best middle school ever. The sixth grade programs are nurturing and help students acclimate to the middle school concept from elementary, yet the curriculum is the focus, too, and taught well. Teachers use technology to enhance the information the students need to learn. The seventh grade programs tend to stress the skills necessary for highest student achievement. The eighth grade program is excellent at preparing students for high school, as well exposing students to the foundation they will need in all the academic areas. This is a wonderful school with great students, administration, and teachers. It is kept gorgeous as well. My only wish is that more parents would become more involved with the their child's education and social life.
Here is a list of clubs we offer at OMS: art, drama, beachcombers, environmental, UnClub- a student-led prayer club, sports for the athletes and the spectators: cheerleading, pep, Step Team, volleyball, basketball, and track, newspaper, computer, and student council. So, the teachers hold many of these clubs without additional compensation. We have Parent Connect to check on grades and conduct, attendance, discipline, etc. Every teacher has email and the parents are provided with it in many ways. Each teacher has a web page. Each teacher also has a telephone mailbox. Conferences are scheduled through the office as often as requested. Parents can always call the office to speak with or see the guidance counselor, secretary, or administrator as well.
I have learned a lot at osceola middle. The teachers were always there for me to give me extra help when I needed it. The extracurricular activities are always open.
I am a parent who lets her son reside with his dad, (so he can have a male role model), And I reside in Nevada. I miss my son dearly. I weould like to be more involved with his daily activities, (through e-mail), And for the last year and beginning of this one, I have not had any luck, I would like to say that his grades are improved since this school, and that he no longer has special education classes in his daily routine at school, So I know that his dad and the school are doing an excellent job!
the school is very involved in student discipline.they are very strict when it comes to student behavior.they dont really care about student grades.all they care about is making the school grounds safe.
Extracurricular activities are minimal, and access to teachers is very limited.
OMS is an outstanding school. Zero tolerance and a staff that cares all the way from custodians to the principal. We have never had an issue where our children felt afraid to seek out help if they needed it. If you have a problem you can't seem to resolve then seek out guidance or the principal. This school has never let us down!
A learning enviroment that promotes highest student achievement and safety. Teachers and administrators are very qualified and dedicated to their students. I am proud to have had my son attend Osceola Middle.
Overall I like Osceola Middle but when it comes to the staff, I have complaints about that. When an honest question is being asked from either parent or student, the staff comes across as we are less than they themselves. I have a hard time with that. I love the zero tolerance for the trouble makers.
Osceola is great school that has a wonderful staff. Their commitment to the children is evident in all that they do. Highest student achievement is the goal for all students and I feel my child is in a very safe environment to achieve this goal. Thank you Osceola Middle for all you do for kids!
With low parental involvement student behavior leaves a lot to be desired! School has a 0 tolerance for behavioral problems; however there is an underlying fear for well behaved students to make staff aware of them! Some staff members attitude is they don't like 'tattle tails', and retaliate with an attitude of disdain for the student that would have the courage to step forward! This is counter productive when a child is raised to do the right thing!
