Fox Chapel Middle School

There is no discipline at this school. One of the worse schools I have ever been part of. Most of the good teachers left because, of the administration. The teachers do not have control of their class rooms and the principal and administration won't back them up.. The unruley middle schoolers with no consquences rule the school.

Terrible school. I came in during the middle of the school year, after winter break, and no one was welcoming at all. Softball was the only thing that introduced me to some really nice people. The students aren't disciplined, just walk out of class whenever they want to, they skip class, they are dis-respectful to the teachers and other student. There are some very rude and inconsiderate kids. I will definitively be leaving this school for eighth grade.

this shcool has helped me alot and should help you alot to, the teacher's are really nice there, this is the only middle school that i would love to stay at.

My daughter finished at Fox 2 years ago and my son is now there. Both of them have done great. They are on top of disciplining bad behavior and quick to praise the good behavior. The teachers are eager to help out any way they can and the administrators are friendly and easy to get in touch with. Good Job Fox!

This is a good school. My son loves going to school everyday now. At his previous school in this district, he did not want to go. At FOX he has excelled these last 2 yrs. The teachers are great!

This is a great school,I was accepted,made friends quickly,and love the teachers.I am in 8th grade and I love to learn.My last school was not very good,I disliked it a lot,(I'm very out there with what I wear and everyone was very judgmental and hateful) and was so afraid of what this one might offer.I was very impressed.I would always miss school days and now I hate it when I miss it.The teachers are amazing,not only do they help you understand the subject they make sure you have fun.They really get you into the school spirit.I love to go to school,I look forward to it.There are rarely any fights and everyone is so nice,now this is a school your child should attend.I just love it,and that is from a student's point a view,and one who used to hate to go to school.

My son has just started at the school from SC,The schools in SC did him no good,He was pushed along and his grades where not good,He did not like the schools or teachers or principals,or buses. Now at Fox He likes his teachers,He likes the Principal.Says he does not like the school much but im sure it will get better for him as he makes friends,His grades have even come up some..Its my opinion that some of these kids may not be doing well because of the shock of moving to a new school.So lighten up parents,School staff keep up the good work..

As a former Fox Chapel teacher myself and having had my son go through Fox Chapel the last three years,I feel I have a good perspective on the school. My son did wonderfully all three years. He enjoyed all of his teachers. He was in all upper level courses and each of the teachers for those classes were very well qualified. Now that he is in high school he realizes how prepared he was after leaving FCMS. He is thankful not only for that but for all of the ' extras' that were graciously given out at the school, i.e. field trips, award ceremonies, rewards for good grades and good attendance.

I agree with the parent that left their review in June 2005, this school is a failure! There is no other way to put it. I brought my A student daughter from NJ, and within a matter of 6 weeks she 'became' D student. I took time from my job and came to school everyday for three days in order to speak to ONE of her SEVEN teachers and still have not been able to meet with one. I was told by the Guidance counselor that I needed to speak to the 'team leader' in order to set up a meeting to speak to my child's teachers, it is now day four, and still the team leader has not contacted me. Everytime I go to that school, I meet a parent that tells me they brough an A or B student there that is now failing.

I was greatly disappointed in this school. I felt because of a move to Florida my daughter in the 8th grade wasn't doing as well as expected. I placed at least 1-3 phone calls a month to the school and at least 75% of them were not returned. I felt every time I did talk to someone I got the 'yes, yes' run around and nothing was followed through with. When I tried to get in to see the principal I was fluffed off to someone else which went against his and I quote 'Total open door policy'. I would not recommend this school to anyone with children on the boarder line of learning or going through a major change in their life. These things are not taken into account at this school and it seems they were only interested at children that excelled. The extracurricular activities were also lacking.

i think fox chapel middle school is the best school in hernando county. they do what needs to be done. i sent my daughter feliciah st.hilaire there for two and a half years thanx for doing your best.

This is a good school.I used to go to this school but switched to River Ridge wich is a great school.
