I love this school the teachers and principal are great. Its just like a small family there. My oldest child has excelled wonderfully. She loves her teachers which in turn helps her love her school work. In 1st grade reading 2nd grade books. she loves coming in and teaching us with what she learned that day.

Imagine school has a teaching staff that is very dedicated to the children. This school is in its 2nd year and when the doors initially opened, there were a lot of stumbling blocks. However, we have come together to create an environment and delivery of instruction that we feel most meets our students' needs. I am very proud to be a member of a school with staff and parents that have come together to be the change they wish to see; rather than to be complacent and just give up when we were faced with difficult circumstances. I am excited to see what this next year will bring at Imagine St. Petersburg.

Nothing like I expected. Staff is clicquish with children and parents - typically those with the ability to be very involved. A single parent working full time shouldn't be treated less because they have to work to support their children. Office staff is unprofessional. Children that didn't start out at the schools inception are treated as outsiders (unless parents are highly visible) and staff does nothing to control bullying. They can be very selective about their willingness to teach a child. Instead of monitoring students, they allow the students to monitor each other. A kid that has been there a while are allowed to get away with too much. I was very disappointed with this school. Their office still looks as if they are just moving in. The curriculum design sounds wonderful, but staff is inefficient and disorganized at best.

I am a happy parent at Imagine - My daughter is in her second year (preK & Kindergarden) and her teachers have been wonderful and engaging. She is thriving and her sister is soon to join her there in the fall. The 'F' grade is due to FL ratings system that is not fair to a 1st year school, as you cannot chart growth when you do not have numbers from the previous year to grow from. WIth that being said I am proud to be a part of a school that can and is creating a wonderful learning environment for my child.

Having been in other Elementary Schools in St. Petersburg our favorite is Imagine and we plan on being there a long time!! My children are thriving. The teachers are all VERY committed to making this school one of the best ever. More parent involvement would help, but the parents at Imagine are much more involved than the 3 schools I personally know about. They are currently adding a bunch of wonderful technology upgrades and as a PTO member I am personally working with the teachers to try and figure out how to get art and music in the school.

I am a very happy parent at this school. We received a letter from the principal explaining that the F grade our school received was in large part due to our school being in its first year and the way FL grades first year schools. I can say we have been very pleased with our daughter's teachers and the education she has received. She was a third grade student last year and is going into fourth. Teachers are very warm and friendly and I always felt invited and welcome into the classroom. My only complaint is that there is no Art or Music at this school, or else I would have given it 5 stars. Maybe in the future.
