My children receive a top notch education in a loving, Christian enviroment. They are taught how to think, not what to think to pass a test.
We currently have three children at St. Johns Academy and all three are very different with very different needs and talents. I can honestly say that the school addresses all of the special needs and the principal and teachers bend over backwards to make the enviroment rich in learning, caring, and safe. The administration is there to help parents and to listen and react to all parent and student concerns. The teachers are the best we have ever encountered (our children have been in some of the best public and other private schools). If you are looking for a school that focuses on your child and their future you will find it at SJA. If you are looking for a school that will highlight the next rising athlete who puts education second - go elsewhere.
Pretty rigorous 'classical Christian' curriculum. Textbook in most classes are very poor (not Becca). Some good teachers and the appearance of an 'elite' environment. Headmaster is stern and cold and not very approachable. Music teacher is not very good. The school is geared toward honors and high achieving students only which is mostly good.
My son is in 1st grade and has been in SJA since Prek. SJA is a school that puts the children's best interest first! They inspire, encourage, and challenge your child to achieve their best both academically and personally. All the teachers and staff know all of the children by name. The principal and the teachers are great examples of how adults should behave. The children respect the teachers and vise versa. The principal is out front of the school everyday greeting all the children as they come to school. From observation the children all seem to truly love going to their school and seem to be part of a big family. The teachers are there because they love to teach and want to see their students succeed.
