Michigan Ave teachers, staff and adminstration is the best in Osceola county. They think of the students first and formost. The students here at Michigan Ave gets the best education you could ever want. They praise them all the time even if it is just something small. The adminstration door is always open if you need to talk to her. The office staff is so helpful and goes above and beyond to make the teachers, students and parents welcome at MAE. MAE is the best school ever in Osceola county.
As a teacher and a Parent at Michigan Avenue Elementary school I not only strive to provide the students who pass through my door the best learning opportunities, I also know that my own 2 boys are receiving the best as well. The teachers are very well prepared and communicate individually with each child and his or her parents. I love the atmosphere and enjoy all of the after school programs that is offered. -jennifer T.
I have 1 child currently enrolled at MAE and one that just gruduated into the 6th grade. Both of them loved their teachers throughout the time they have been at this school. I was a parent volunteer and working with other parents and teachers was an awesome experience! My only complaint about this school is that I wish my oldest child had just a little bit of free time on the play ground. Overall MAE is a wonderful school, my children and I both love it!
I have three children in grades 2, 4 and 5 at Michigan Avenue Elementary. So far, I have been very impressed with the standard of teaching. Our children's teachers have been very open and helpful. We moved from Finland and this did not pose a problem for our children because the attitude of the teachers and other student was very positive and did not make our children feel like outsiders. The teacher for my youngest child was proactive in getting him tested for a gifted program and this resulted also resulted in my other 2 children getting tested and put forward for this special program. The staff in the reception office are also very friendly and helpful. I hope this helps with your decision as to which elementary school your child is going to attend.
Kindergarten, my grandaughter whose family lives with us goes to this school. She has a very fond regard for her teacher. She enjoys the community of her classroom. She enjoys the vaaaarious days she has extracuricular activities as well-ex. pe music spanish. Her teacher is very warm, and organized. It seems to be a classroom of happy kindergarten memories. I am homeschooling my own daughter for kindergarten and I can see that Grandaughter is learning very well in her class.
My daughter has been provided the best education by the best motivated and caring teachers a parent could wish for. My 2nd grade daughter wants to be a teacher because of the role models she has seen. She reads at the 4th grade level and is loving her school experience.
Michigan Avenue has continued to be an outstanding school throughout my childrens' 10 years of attendance. The Teacher quality is unparalleled. Their love of teaching and their students is reflected in the academic achievement of the school.
My kindergartner's curriculum is so well developed that she is reading and doing simple math problem at what I would consider first grade level. She loves going to school and her teacher so much that she laments when there is no school. The learning environment and administartion provides constant reinforcement and encouragement.
