Principal allows teachers and students to bully kids because he is too worried that by handling the matter appropriately that his school will get a bad record. He will not listen to your concerns written or verbal, he will talk over you and act like you are wasting his time. According the the school board policy on bullying, the principal is suppose to lead the investigation when bullying is brought to his attention, instead he does everything in his power to brush it under the mat.

Lakeview is a great school! Mr. Telemko is very involved with all activities and the teachers are wonderful with the kids. The kids love the Splash ticket rewards and positive recognition they get for being good students. We couldn't be happier with this school - sorry to leave it - have to move for husband's job - Lakeview is a real treasure and we're going to miss everyone there a lot!

The principal, Mr. telemeko is very hard to communicate with. He does not take your child's 'best interest' to heart. He does not work with you if you have a problem and he 'skirts around' issues instead of solving them.

My kindergartener is in Mrs. Ratliff class, and she is great with all her students. And she recognizes their individuality and creative minds one by one. I love the creative things she does with them on holidays. The whole school runs a great program..d

This school is great with children. My son started at Lakeview through a special education preschool program after being in several programs in which he did not do well. After finally placing him at Lakeview he went through a complete change. The teachers were willing and able to work with him. I really apreciated the fact that his teachers were caring enough and did not give up on him. I will always be thankful for their services and support. I will always be especially grateful for all the love and support his teacher Mrs. Tina Purcell provided him. If there is anything to look for in a school it is the way teachers care for your children and Lakeview Elementary does the best job at doing so.

Lakeview Elementary is a great school located in St. Cloud. The teachers and the admin are very caring and I am a proud parent of two Lakeview Elementary students. The school has many in school awards which helps with boosting children's self esteem, from Dolphin of the Week to the Principal Recognition Award. The school is growing quite a bit with all of the new familes that move to the area, and I can't imagine the school not struggling to keep everything running smoothly, but they do an excellent job keeping the children and their education first; Lakeview has had a great report card, and their acadamics are wonderful.

About the tests

In 2013-2014 Florida used the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT 2.0) to test students in grades 3 through 10 in reading, 3 through 8 in math, in grades 5 and 8 in science, and in grades 4, 8, and 10 in writing. The FCAT 2.0 is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Florida. The FCAT 2.0 has 5 achievement levels, with level 1 being the lowest and level 5 the highest. Florida considers scores of level 3 and higher to be on or above grade level. The goal is for all students to score at or above level 3.

Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math. The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
