My kids go to school here and they absolutely love the school. The teachers are great and the principal is absolutely wonderful and very caring. The car circle can be a bit of a strain, but it's mostly the parents who try to rush through the circle or feel that they can park their cars anywhere near the school. Overall, I would recommend this school, as I attended this school myself.
AWESOME SCHOOL- All of the teachers are great and the principal is very caring and really gets involved with all the kids. If you are looking for a school where even the principal herself knows your childs name, you have got to check out this school.
I have experienced very positive interaction with Lynch teachers, staff, and leaders over these past years with two children attending Lynch Elementary. Students' safety, education, and welfare are top priorities at Lynch. The principal is a great leader and role model. The teachers are highly qualified (above state average) and are dedicated to individual success of students. They in turn receive great support from all other Lynch staff. Lynch offers many programs, some are: - Awards for reading, student of the week/month/year - Art, strings instrumental, science fair and gifted participation - WLYN daily live student-produced news show - Volunteer/Mentoring - English for Speakers of Other Languages and Exceptional Student Program (emotionally/physically challenged students) - Other activities: skating parties, Fall Carnival, Spring Fling, and monthly parent connection. Lynch has adopted a disciplined approach to students success as well as Character Rally where students earn privileges for successful display of good character.
The school itself has proven to be a great school. They are really into reading. I have had no problem with the teachers responding to my childs needs but the title 1 does not like to be bothered with questions and does not return important phone calls. I've gone months trying to reach her. My overall view on the school is that it is a great school just needs to be updated.
I have never in my life been to a school and been treated so badly! I understand that people have their 'bad days' but all I did was walk into the front office to sign my child out from school and you would have thought I was committing a bank robbery. These people lack people skills and are in need of some assistance in how to handle the public. I will be glad when my child's time here at Lynch is finished.
My child has went to this school from K to 2nd grade which she is currently enrolled in, She's been very lucky with 3 great teachers, but there are some very rude teachers here and the office staff are not very friendly nor are they on top of things in the office. The teachers that do the car circle are very stressed out and will yell at you if you don't pull all the way up to the beginning of the line, so if your picking someone elses kid up for the first time look out! You will probably get screamed at!
My son is a pre-k student here at Lynch Elementary in St.Petersburg Florida. His teacher is wonderful as well as the class assisitant. I must say that the school principal and her front office staff, lack some serious people skills. My experience here was not that of a good one.
