Outstanding school. The campus is beautiful (and they are currently remodeling), the teachers exceptionally loving and caring; and the academics are challenging. I have a daughter in sixth grade and in Kindergarten and they both love the school and most important - love coming to school. Truly worth checking out.
Grace Lutheran School provides superior academics on a warm, charming campus. The family atmosphere and commitment to students and their families creates an ideal environment for academic success, nurtures the discovery of young people's life purpose and awakens the understanding of their spiritual significance and their place in God's heart. And on top of all that, NEW in 2012: Computer Laptop Lab Electronic White Boards in all of the classrooms Comprehensive Spanish and Music programs beginning at age 2 Junior Wildcat Athletic Program VPK-4th grade (soccer, baseball, flag football, cheerleading & basketball)
My children have attended Grace Lutheran for 5 years. We are very happy with the high acadmics and the overall well-rounded educational experience. Faculty is "top shelf." - experts in their fields, and forge a stong relationship with students/families. Staff also emphasizes building character. As a result, when I see my children interact with adults or children from other schools, my children are more confident and respectiful. The school is definitley on a growth and building track under the leadership of its new principal.
My daughter has attended this school for only the 6th grade and it is horrible. She came into the school in honors placement and has since not done anything in math or science that is not a review of previous years. The new teachers for those subjecst spend more time on Facebook or on PC games than they do teaching. There has recently been a mass exodus from this school and now I know why. The band, spanish, language arts and social studies teachers are nurturing and challenging my daughter but with math and science being such important subjects and with the lack of communication from those teachers, it is a very bad choice to leave a child with this school. They now have a new principal so maybe he can turn things around.
My son has attended Grace since pre-3 and will be graduating from the 8th grade this year. We could not be happier with Grace. The curriculum is excellent. The teachers are very caring and supportive. Carl Schleede provides a fantastic youth group and character development for the children. The athletic program is very strong and they offer many choices for after school clubs. Grace is a very well rounded safe place.
Grace Lutheran School has been an excellent choice for my son. Grace is the type of school that as a parent your opinion and participation counts. For the students the learning never ends because they are exposed to so many experiences. Opportunities include music, art, athletics, spanish, rocket club, community outreach, field trips, band, robotics just to name a few. My personal favorite is the 'special friend program' younger students are matched with an older student. They read to each other, mentor and have fun projects which makes your child know others in the grades above them and lets them be excited to interact with older students. Lastly, Grace assists with building character. Manners, faith, respect...these are the lessons that are the true foundation that will lead to our child's success and happiness in life. Come see it for yourself!
My grandson attended Grace Lutheran from kindergarten through fourth grade. The teachers were excellent and the administration was very nurturing. He went on to public fifth grade and made straight A's and was citizen of the year for the entire school. Not only did he have an excellent academic foundation, he also had character training. He currently is in some advanced classes in middle school and made straight A's on his first report card.
I went to this school from 6th to 8th grade and im not impressed about the English education i got from there. The math is decent but science is terrible.
We moved here and our daughter has been in Grace for a year now.....Great school. She loves it, I feel like she's learning a lot, and the teachers and staff are great.
Grace is a really great school. I'm in eighth grade and I've been there for seven years. I have lots of close friends that I've known for a long time. Our teachers are really great- Mrs. Rand is always willing to go the extra mile to get the concept of algebra through your head. Mr. Wells makes science unpredictable and fun. Senor Reyes is really the best Spanish teacher we ever have had! Mr. Macke has a great sense of humor and incorporates it into American History concepts. Mr. Meissner is easy going and always makes language a lot easier to understand. Mr. Cox knows always has a new game for us to play... and always has more laps for us to run... but he makes it really fun. Mrs. Tipett is the most multi-talented person I've ever seen- she teaches math, drama, and choir.
