Excellent place to get an education. Administration, Teachers and staff are always professional, polite and encouraging to the students and parents. Great fundamental studies along with an abundance of computers and technical software. The bible and chapel classes give the kids a firm foundation of God's principals.(most important before experiencing the challenging college yrs). Lots of school spirit with the activities and the parent participation.

I never thought that I would be sad writing a check for the last payment of anything until I wrote the last check for my son's tuition at this school. My son has attended this school for the last two years of middle school and it has been the very best experience of his academic career! He has always made good grades but this school has brought him further academically than any other school could have. The Science and Math teachers here are the most brilliant and caring teachers I have met and while the History and English teachers are new, they are fabulous as well and we very much appreciate them! Even the Band director (also new) has completely knocked our socks off with his ability to take a group of students and turn them into skilled players. The principal and dean of boys are rocks and men you know that you can count on for anything involving your child and school. The only thing that I would change about this school is to expand it into a high school as well. Thank you SPCS for being the school that you are! JG and I will miss you terribly!

This was a great school years ago, but is far below average since the former principal left. Too many teachers are focused on control/ punishment, the religion has become fear based, they fall behind public schools academically in the higher grades. It seems the teachers and staff are looking for ways to catch children doing something wrong, then follow up with some form of public humiliation as punishment. We hoped that they could bring it back to what it once was, but had to leave when we found it to be harmful emotionally, academically and spiritually to our children - many of the reasons we pay for this type of education.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the parents that say this school has gone downhill. Many of the excellent Middle School teachers my older child had have left. Children are set up to fail with irrational rules that they can't possibly comply with.

St. Pete Christian is the BEST school in Pinellas County! Academically, it is far superior to others, and the teachers are dedicated and loving. I recommend this school to anyone looking for a quality education and a great school environment!!

Our sons attended SPCS. We were thrilled with the excellent education the got. It prepared them well for high school and college. The Christian education they recieved has also served them well in the years after SPCS. The teachers are highly qualified, loving, and take a personal interest in the well-being of each student.

My daughter is in Kindergarten and we both love this school. I did a lot of research and struggled over the decision of where to send her to school. I couldn't have made a better decision. Her teacher is wonderful. My daughter was reading before Christmas. They do learn at a fast pace, but that works for my daughter. She never has time to get bored. She is always excited to go to school, and says she wishes she could even go on the weekends. They really make learning fun for her. They also really encourage parental involment and are happy to have you there. They really treat you like family. I also like having Music, Spanish, Art, PE. It makes for a very well rounded child.

My grandson attended this school from grades K-2 (3 academic years in all). This is the very best, by far, school in Pinellas County. The curriculum is excellent and the teachers very caring. My grandson excelled in this school.

My son attended this school halfway into his kindergarten year and is now 1/2 though first grade and I couldn't be happier. He previously attended a public school and the difference is staggering. First, there are so many volunteers so every child benefits even if you can't. Both of his teachers have been fabulous! I'm very critical but they have been amazing and this year his teacher even changes his schedule around slightly as his ADHD seems to be worse in the afternoons so she tries to adjust accordingly. I have noticed that teachers don't try to fit the children into their curriculum, they adjust the curriculum if necessary. It IS challenging for many students but I believe with parents helping at home, every child should at least do average. There are field trips, spelling bees, assemblies, book fairs, PE, art, Spanish, music (many concerts thoughout the year). I love it!!!

St. Pete Christian has been a wonderful experience for both of my children. They have teachers that are attentive to their needs and communication with parents is a top priority. Teachers are required to be state-certified, and the school board and administration are committed professionals. The Blue Ribbon recognition not only attests to academic excellence across the board, but heavy parental involvement. When teachers and parents have strong communication the results are always best.

Hi, This school has advanced curriculum. My older boy attends and does well. It may be too much for some kids, just right for others. They have music, art, PE, Chapel and Spanish starting in K-Garten. They have great field trips. They learn to read early in K-Garten and use the Abeka curriculum. They give the children lots of recesses during the day which I think is great. Recess gets oxygen flowing in their brains and helps them concentrate on learning. There is a lot of parental involvement needed for kids to be successful. If your young child is ready for a challenge, this is a great school. If your child is behind in some areas, this school might stress them out since they move at a rapid pace academically. The teachers are great.

St Pete Christian offers an outstanding learning enviroment offering advanced curriculum possiblites. They've recently been awarded the 'Blue Ribbon Schools' designation and our principal was awarded an outstanding leader/administrator award this year. Our school promotes strong christian morals as a foundation for all learning. Our teachers and administrators generally know all the children by name and further promote learning in a loving enviroment. It's a wonderful school for each child to discover their strengths and feel successful in all their acheivements.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
