This is a wonderful alternative for a child with special needs who is falling through the cracks of the mediocre public school systems. My child came from one that made my heart ache dropping him off ( one of the better cluster schools.). When I first came to Stepps, It was so warm and everyone was professional and responsive. The kids were all well behaved and nice. I think this is how it should be. This is our first year and I hope that my feelings never change.

My experience with Christi Academy started off with several promises. Meaning the Staff promised to deliver results and support for my child's particular learning deficit. Well there was no structure at all. No lesson plans, no proper placement, all kids thrown into a classroom and teacher taught to the masses. Instead of making some progression my child digressed and this past school year my child really didn't learn much. I would not recommend Christi to a child with a mild learning disabilities due to the staff mixing ALL levels together. Wasn't a good choice for my child

I understand the need to find a school to meet a child's needs. There are a wide range of needs in a school, however, my child's needs were not met. Everyone has a different experience. Mine was such that my child was regressing instead of progressing. I hope other parents can find what they are looking for in the school. But I suggest: ask questions, be involved, know what your child is doing daily.

My daughter is a child with Asperger's Syndrome and struggles with auditory sensitivities. She had felt out of place at school until she entered STEPSS Academy. She described the feeling of fitting in and that she was part of group where she belonged. She has made incredible progress, going from being worried and stressed about school, to now feeling happy and confident. I watched my daughter transform during this school year and she is even able to complete a summer internship at a retail store. My heartfelt thanks go out to the staff and administration at STEPSS LAcademy, especially Ms. Shirley, Mr. Machiavello and Ms. Gil. Their consistent support for, not only my daughter, but for me as a parent, has been invaluable. I will be forever grateful and look forward to another amazing year at STEPSS!

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
