Everyone's experience at any school will be different. Some bad and some good. My personal experience with this school had both. My child loves their friends and teachers. But there needs to be a little bit more organization.

What a big disappointment! I made my research before having my child attend to this school. I spoke to the principal, meet a few teachers . I can say it s been my child worse school experience. The teachers and assistant are not properly trained and don't have certifications. The principal has no professionalism and does not have a clue on how to run a school. Favoritism is very noticeable. I recommend you visit the school on a regular schedule and do your own assessment. Do not let them fool you that you would disrupt the children regular school day. Overall a horrible experience...

I can only applaud this school. My relationship with the school started with my oldest son. He was struggling so bad in public school, Under new managemnt my son thrived to the point that i took my twins out of public school and enroll them. They are all way above average!THIS IS HOW GREAT THE CURRICULUM IS!! I have no complaints and will recommend it to any parent! The owner always makes time for you and treats all of them as her own. She understands hard time and she is just AMAZING! The staff is courteous and helpful. I am so grateful to that school!!!

The staff is unorganized and there are no books in the classroom's. The teachers are not certified. They advertise field trips we had none this year. They advertise a specific student to teacher ratio and they do not provide it. The lack of parent involvement is sad. This school is not as it seems. Also I believe that the majority of these " excellent 5 star " reviews are being written by the staff. Do your research on this school.

The teachers and staff at this school really cares about education and growth. I know I have problems with reading , but I really felt like I personally got stronger in it. Plus the school is fun. We have field trips, dances, holiday dinners, and everything.

I am a single mom with a special needes child. It can be overwhelming at times to face the emotional and financial challenges of raising an ESE child. However, the teachers and staff treat parents with a respectful, caring nature that welcomes and eases a family. My child progressed wonderfully at STEPSS Academy, both academically and socially, and I am very pleased with the achievement I saw this school year. Thank you to the teachers, staff and administration for and I look forward to another amazing year in 2014-2015!!!!

My kids loves this school and I've seen an improvement in their grades and their confidence. The theology teacher their is a great mentor to them also.

I have a child that been attending Christi for 3 years now. My child is not the fastest learner or the smartest kids, but finding this school was a blessing for me and him. Patience is the key thing to have when dealing with a ese child and this school has the patience to understand my child and take the time to help him the best he can. I would like to say thank you to the teachers and staff for their help.

After several years at this school we will not be returning. The school has continued to decline and there seems to be no hope. The staff is made up of family members who are not qualified in any way. I encourage you to do your research on this school. The majority of the teachers have no certification's and have no special needs training. Most of the administration is nice until you start to ask questions. They prefer you to drop your child and leave. Don't be fooled and make sure you ask questions!

I was a student from Christi/Stepss Academy and it was an absolutely incredible two years! I attended two other private school's in the year of 2012 and I was not happy at all. My mother pulled me out of both schools and that is when I found Christi academy. It was scary at first but the teachers were very nice I even made two friends on the first day. Ms. Gil the school principal was amazing, she did everything and anything to help make sure I could succeed throughout the two years I attended the school. If i could, i would of prefered to go to Christi from the beginning.

I have read the reviews of the school and I truly disagree with these statements. My son has spent several years at Christi Academy and has been able to experience many different activities that he would not have been able to in a public school. He played on the basketball team, participated in the school plays and made good friends. He has made incredible academic gains in small group instruction and has been able to move ahead an entire grade level. The staff and teachers are highly dedicated and well qualified. I would definitely recommend Christi Academy to all parents!

My daughter has been a student at STEPSS Academy for several years. I can say that this year was an absolutely incredible year! She learned a multitude of Life Skills including money management, cooking, sewing, embroidery and job training. The program is wonderfully structured and my daughter was able to progress steadily during her time at STEPSS Academy. The teachers are very well qualified and offer unique programs to the students. I would like to thank the staff and teachers for showing my daughter and me such respect and care. I would definitely recommend STEPSS Academy!

We enrolled our child at Christi Academy with many promises that were not fulfilled. Our son's classroom consisted of children of all ages and with different curriculum than his. We were very concern about our child going up the stairs along with middle and high school students at the same time. This school lacks of experience with children with special needs at every level. Our mistake was not asking for school staff credentials, certifications or going online to check whether the staff had the professional license they said they did.

This is a wonderful alternative for a child with special needs who is falling through the cracks of the mediocre public school systems. My child came from one that made my heart ache dropping him off ( one of the better cluster schools.). When I first came to Stepps, It was so warm and everyone was professional and responsive. The kids were all well behaved and nice. I think this is how it should be. This is our first year and I hope that my feelings never change.

My experience with Christi Academy started off with several promises. Meaning the Staff promised to deliver results and support for my child's particular learning deficit. Well there was no structure at all. No lesson plans, no proper placement, all kids thrown into a classroom and teacher taught to the masses. Instead of making some progression my child digressed and this past school year my child really didn't learn much. I would not recommend Christi to a child with a mild learning disabilities due to the staff mixing ALL levels together. Wasn't a good choice for my child

I understand the need to find a school to meet a child's needs. There are a wide range of needs in a school, however, my child's needs were not met. Everyone has a different experience. Mine was such that my child was regressing instead of progressing. I hope other parents can find what they are looking for in the school. But I suggest: ask questions, be involved, know what your child is doing daily.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
