I've been here for almost two weeks now from VA...My son loves his new school and looks forward to each new day. Great people in the office and great teachers. I love the atmosphere and the tenderness payed to the children.
Our kids are starting their second year at Canopy Oaks Elementary. We are very pleased with the school, the classrooms are clean and the staff is nice.
Both of my children attend thi sschool. This is their second year there and it has been a great experience. The teachers and staff are very hard working, kind and caring. I appreciate the high academic standards as well as the discipline. Great school!!!
Fantastic school, great teachers, clean, caring environment and staff. Everyone at Canopy Oaks, parents, teachers, staff and students seems enthusiastic about being a part of the school and its activities. Very nice athletic facilities and located in a safe and secure environment. I just wish my daughter could go K-12 at this school because I'm worried about the options for middle school now that she's in 4th grade and has only one year to go at Canopy Oaks.
Canopy Oaks is generally a good school. They focus on keeping the school safe for the children.Even though my children have done well, some of the teachers have fallen into a routine and do not seem enthused. The front office staff and the vice-principal are always supportive and happy to help.
My children are currently attending this school. A pretty good school. Teacher/parent involvement is high. Lots of teach involvement. Good library. Clean classrooms.
This school is great. The school has alot of fun activities for the students and the teachers are great.
Currently we have a 3rd grader and a 1st grader at Canopy Oaks. We can't be happier with this school. the teachers are kind, caring and great educators. The principle, Ms. Bishop, has always been there for us and has always listened to any concerns we may have had about our girls. Ms. Kenton (kindergarten) and Mrs. Taylor (1st grade) really stand out in our minds as the best. We have always felt that everyone at this school truly cares for the children and genuinely care for their well being and educational development. I can't say enough...it's a great school. We have a younger daughter that will be entering kindergarten in the school year after next and we can't wait for her to get there.
The teachers at this school have proven to be caring and concerned and promote parent involvement. There are several activities offered at the school, and on special functions, there is a large crowd of parents. What was disappointing, however, if a child proves difficult, I have found that the guidance department did not prove to be that helpful (this was 2 years ago. I felt we had to pursue the available options ourselves and decide what was best. If a child needed extra attention, we were told the school could not cater to one child, that the teacher had > than 20 children to deal with at one time. It stills rates high in Leon county and I would recommend Canopy Oaks to anyone.
