A great school. With dedicated teachers who take time outof their day and stay to help students get further. A wonderful dedicated band director, Rondal Russell.
i had a great time going there. i went from 04-08 and i love it! they have a two great magnet programs. i was in the health academy and love it. i had all the best teachers and i had actually learn something for a change and the best part was going on clincals with your program for a week. i say the best hands you can have as a high school i say no other school in state of florida can compare
Tampa Bay Tech has a diverse population of students that come from all over the county to attend this high school. We have many academies that students apply to get into, including:Architecture, Health Academy, Commercial Art, Journalism, Early Childhood, and Culinary. Students at Tech are proud to be there, and strive to graduatate high school not only with a strong academic background, but also with a skill set that will make them more competitive job applicants.
A major flaw about this school is that they DO NOT LISTEN/CARE about individual student's needs. As a student, in the 2009-2010 school year, I was placed in classes beyond my capabilities, and pretty much no matter who I asked to get that fixed, I was basically told to deal with it. I was told repeatedly that I could do the work, despite my failing grades in the class.
Tampa Bay Tech prepared my daughter well for college and she had a great time there!
I have 2 daughters who graduated from the Health Magnet program. Both were honors students, took AP classes, and got college credit for AP classes and their SAT scores. They had lots of excellent teachers at TBT. As teachers retired, they were replaces with equally excellent teachers. The principals have been excellent, caring individuals who boosted that school to new heights. My girls got an excellent education in Hillsborough county but the best was TBT. Both are honors students in college who are receiving accolades and are true success stories. As a parent, I couldn't have asked for a better educational experience for my children.
Its excellent, especially if the student goes into the health program.
i love tbt. this is the best school i have every been to. with this being my senior year that i am entering i will soon miss tbt. if you want to go to a school that will fit all your needs and help you on the right path to your career.
i think that Tampa bay tech is one of the most highly recommended schools for students that would like to receive a wonderful education
I love Tech! I would never be able to find such an amazing staff and amazing students at my local school.
