Tampa Bay Christian Academy

I have attended Tampa Bay christian Academy for almost 18 years. This is where i have grown up, academically and spiritually. I am a senior this year and have no complaints. This school upholds its Christian values to a "T". It has also become a "home like" environment for myself and several other students. The teachers are very concerned with every students well being and is always there for any help needed. Unlike public School or other Schools in the area they care about where we go in life and want us to do our very best and always give us all resources needed to make that happen. Once a students Graduates, their well-being never leaves thoughts and hearts of our faculty and staff. This school is ran with honesty, integrity, and at footsteps of Christ. Every member of our facility is aware and lives their lives by the factor that everything you do, is and should be done in the image of Christ. I have and will recommend Tampa Bay Christian Academy to everyone I know. I'm excited to graduate but bummed at the fact that i will be leaving such a wonderful place behind.

I have had numerous opportunities to interact with the teachers at TBCA during the past 5-7 years. In any school you will find someone who is not completely committed to the furthering of their knowledge and the betterment of their classroom activities; however, I will say that my experience with TBCA has nearly proven this incorrect. The teachers are extremely committed to quality education, discipline and providing the students with what they need to succeed in today's society, while leading from a strong Christian model.

Approximately half of our faculty and staff have graduate degrees which includes three members with PhD level degrees. Also, it is a requirement here that we be doubly certified through the state of Florida and our Christian accreditation association. It is our goal and mission to preserve a Christ-centered school culture that strives to continue a level of excellence. Dr. Bode, who has been with us for 30 years, continues to direct the activities of the school and provide strong direction for faculty and students.

This school is terrible. They do not hold up the Christian name. The teachers just talk about each other and the school in front of the parents. The teachers barely watch the children. In the younger classrooms, the children just watch TV and play. Dont waste your money. Go where your money and child is valued.

This is my alma-matter, my son attended this school, and it is the best school in Tampa Bay for high academic standards and also for incorporating morals and love of God within their teaching.

New name Tampa Bay Christian Academy This school has made great strides. Check out their website. Teachers are well qualified, dedicated, and have love for the students and families. The school does not cater to only high level students, but meets the needs of different abilities. It is culturally diverse and has an international program. I had 2 children attend the school for their entire schooling. They were well prepared for success at the university level. The school is not overly strict but has a good balance of behavioral expectations. They are accredited by SACS and ACSI.

the high school is pathetic. i learned nothing. i got out of that place asap. it smells like mold. the teachers treated me like a middle school student. the year i was there was a complete waste of time and of my parents money. there is no positive feed back about this school. i felt like i was being brainwashed by there stupidity, they act as if there is no outside world, it seems to me that they are stuck in there own little world. they are very outdated with any of there academics and everything else, and i didnt understand one word the science teacher said the entire year.

Their intervention program is excellent. It is run by a woman that is degreed and specializes in learning disabilities. She is super knowledgable and was able to help diagnose our student when numerous 'experts' could not. Our student is now excelling! This specialized program works with all grades K - 12, to help those students with various learning disabilities. The high school teachers work well with the students to help them at all levels. The high school sports program was excellent last year, winning regional and district titles. One of their former students was named a Rhodes Scholar last year. They seem to prepare their students well for college. My child's friend went to community college last year for financial reasons, even though she was accepted by numerous 4 year institutions. I think this was the case in a good amount of their students. I am continually impressed by Tampa baptist.

My child has attended TBA high school for 2 years. The high school is small. The 2006 graduating class was 26. The academics seem to be weak. My child has spent little time doing homework at home these past 2 years. The graduation program for the class of 2006 reported that 11 were planing to attend a 4 year university and 12 were planning to attend a 2 year community college. This makes me question how well the school is doing in preparing the students for college. The atmosphere at the school is good. The students are well behaved. Class sizes are small. The teachers are attentive although maybe not demanding enough.

As a parent of a preschooler, I am very, very pleased with the morning program at TBA. The staff is caring, loving, nurturing and attentive. I love having Kindermusik and PE provided for my child. He thoroughly enjoys both. My child's teacher communicates with my husband and I on a daily basis and has my son's best interest in mind. The only 'problem' we have experienced with TBA is the lack of consistency in the afternoon care. I don't believe it is a problem with the supervisor or the program itself. Overall, we are proud to say that our sone attends Tampa Baptist Academy!

The quality of the academic program for pre-school children is great. We love the fact that our child who is 4 is receiving computer, p.e., music, and library time on a weekly basis. I work in the public school system and our children do not even get these consistently. My only complaint about this school is the consistency and quality of afternoon care. I only wish that the afternoon care was as great as the morning program. Unfortunatley, my ratings are affected by this.

As a parent of a pre-school/elementary student at this school for over 6 years I am very impressed with the experience my child has had. Teachers are very dedicated and faith-based. The music/choral program is phenomenal and students truly learn to love the Lord. The tuition is less expensive than nearly all comparable private schools. The environment is both safe and caring. There is fantastic, real ethnic/racial/economic/international student diversity at this school - very difficult to find in schools and churches today! Don't let the outside appearance of the school fool you - this is a quality place for elementary students. On the downside, the facilities tend to be old and technology lags behind. Very low parent involvement - many parents work or just don't get involved. Some staff/faculty are very conservative Christians - not as much diversity in Christian faith traditions as I would like to see. Very good overall.

To send our child to this school was probably the worst decision we ever made. The education and curriculum of this school is terrible. They teach you absolutely nothing, and are not willing to help when a child does not understand something.

Tampa Baptist was the best investment I made in my children's education. Not only are the teachers excellent, the standards are high and the christian atmosphere is real. The head administrator knows just about all the students by first name basis. Their application of Biblical integartion to their curriculum is great. The SLD departments are excellent. They don't keep these students at a baby level but develop their abilities in the correct ways. Parents are welcomed at every classroom and they are guaranteed a meeting with the teachers when necessary My three children did well and both did exceptionally well at the University. Thanks TBA

The teachers at TBA really are amazing. They make an effort to connect with the students in such a way that is not found in public school. TBA is extremly diverse, which sets children on the right path to understanding the different cultures and peoples of this world.

I have had a horrible experience with TBA. The cirriculum is not what it should be and does not meet very good standards. They have a few sports available however, they do not have the correct coaching skills available. They parent involvement is one of the few things that is okay, yet still some of the parents are too involved. I would not recommend this school to anyone.
