Cambridge is AMAZING!!! I have three children attending this school. The teachers are awesome and we love the family feel to the school. This is the best Christian School in the Tampa area! I can say compared to Public School where my children attended that this is so much more challenging and is preparing them for College. We are so Blessed to be attending Cambridge!!
I am so thankful for Cambridge Christian School! I am so thankful for a school that teaches and reinforces our beliefs in Christ our Savior. Our children are taught at home and church about our relationship with Christ, and I am so thankful to find a school that continues to teach and guide them in the Christian worldview as well throughout the week. I am thankful for the strong school community, this is not only our school but a wonderful community that we cherish being a part of. Our children pray in school and read their Bibles. Praise the Lord!
Cambridge Christian School cares about all their students. The teachers that commit themselves to this school choose to teach here because they believe in outstanding education taught within the scope of a Christian Worldview. CCS students feel loved and are loved. I have been involved with CCS for ten years and have three of my own kids attend. There is simply no alternative to a good Christian education and Cambridge Christian School is an excellent choice.
My oldest just graduated from Cambridge Christian & I had the extreme pleasure of dropping him off at the University of Fla. last week! He was at CCS since 1st grade :) Not only was he VERY WELL PREPARED academically (getting into UF is super tough!) but I sent off a young man that is a confident student and spiritually strong & able to defend his faith. The school offers kids alot of opportunities & encourages them to try a variety of activities - maybe some that they would've been intimidated to try at a larger school. We've had kids earn scholarships in acad., music & sports! Also, because it is smaller, the kids are able to develop strong 1-on1 relationships with their teachers and learn to be confident in dealing with adults & authority. Another huge plus for the school is the overall sense of community - families are very involved on campus & with each other, they give alot of time & talent to see the school grow and prosper. If you're considering CCS, there are family mentors who will connect a new child with kids in his class over the summer so that when he starts in the fall, he & his family feel welcome. We love the school & will miss it when my 10th grader grads!
We have three children that attend Cambridge Christian and we are extremely happy with the school. This is our 9th year with at least one child at Cambridge. The academics are challenging and will prepare them to go on to the top universities in America. More importantly the school is helping strengthen their foundation spiritually to enable them to stand strong in their Christian faith. Lastly, the sports and fine arts programs allow them to enjoy a well rounded school experience.
Cambridge Christian School is a rare find these days. We have 4 children that currently attend and have been there for 9 years. CCS is teaching our kids to be men and women of character first and foremost. Growing kids into Christian leaders is a staple. Academically, the school is pretty challenging. But I like the fact that my kids are being pushed. Add in the excellent sports programs, fine arts, and incredible parent involvement, and that makes Cambridge such a gem in today's world. We can wholeheartedly recommend this school as long term participants.
Great teachers, great academics, great leadership. I have had to work with the principals on both the lower and upper school. They really care about these kids. I like that they are strict but kind. They all walk the walk spiritually as well. We were looking for a fully accredited college prep school and we found it. The fact that it is a Christian school has helped us and our kids grow in that area as well.
I'm a student who attended only 6th grade last year, and am going into 7th grade. The courses were not extremely challenging (the difficulty levels were average for private middle school grades), but there were a lot of smart students around. I loved some of the teachers, but others I did not. Nobody could ever like the 6th grade Science teacher (2011-2012).. Also, I found the school very strict. The 6th graders were not allowed to be considered as middle school fully (but partly we were), and were never notified of anything special that the MS needed to do or bring (only the 7th and 8th graders were). We practically had to go to Chapel with kindergarteners, too, being mostly of the Lower school. And the sports teams allowed anyone to go in. I understand that it's nice to let anyone in to make them feel good, but honestly a lot of the teams (not all) were not that good. Even the cheerleaders, being the top of the 'social ladder' in every school, are practically on the bottom here. The 1 field trip that 6th grade ever had was unsatisfactory to most people.. the positive aspects, I don't remember much. I hope next year (7th grade) will be better.
if you are looking for a college prep school with a Christian worldview then this is the place for you. It really is the best of both. Our family has been here 14 years and the people, faculty and leadership is top notch. The best part is that the culture at the school instills character, leadership and morals. The smaller classrooms let your kids develop relationships with their teachers and coaches that last a lifetime. The minute you walk on campus you will see the difference the people make.
I am so sad my child had to endure 6th grade their last year. Here are the reasons. 1. Not in a safe area. 2. The 6th grade music teacher is rude and mean. 3. The 6th grade math teacher has some mental health problems. My child attended the school for 1 year and I will never send her back. She is now doing great at Academy at The Lakes! With caring staff that you can find there but not here.
My daughter attended Cambridge from Kindergarten through 5th grade at which time we moved her into the public school system. I was told, while at Cambridge, that the academics were a year ahead of the publics schools. I was very disappointed to find out that, when entering 6th grade in the public schools, she was behind in many subjects, especially math and writing. The positive about Cambridge is the low student/teacher ratios but it isn't worth the cost in tuition. In addition, the location of the school is not in an area I consider convenient nor safe.
My daughter started 1st Gr @ Cambridge this year. We love the school and our daughter is extremely happy their. Great teachers and effective faculty leadership!
My son spent 5 years at the Cambridge, finishing High School. The academics are rigorous, the staff is outstanding and loving and the environment is no-nonsense. My son hated school until he went to the Cambridge. When he graduated I could see he was really going to miss this place and loved everyone there. As a parent, that was a special moment for me and made all that tuition worth it. Paying all those years was not easy for us. It is private school, it was not cheap, but they rescued my son from years of torture at school. 5 stars Cambridge, and thanks.
The school is excellent in its academics, fine arts, and athletics. The only bad thing is some teachers and faculty members favor students that aren't as popular. If a popular student gets in a fight with the unpopular student, the faculty members automatically assume that the popular student started the fight, which isn't always true. Another negative is that the faculty members try to get into students' business, insisting on knowing about every single conflict there is between students.
My son is a first year student at Cambridge, attending ninth grade. He could not be more happy with the outstanding faculty, quality of students and the warm welcome he recieved as a first time student on campus. The complete high school experience is available to students; A safe learning environment, high moral standards, strong academics, arts, sports, and a rich christian centered attitude.
My children have attended Cambridge Christian for almost ten years. Our experience there has been wonderful. The teachers are nurturing and caring. The sports programs are competiitve but both the above average and average athlete have play oppurtunities. The academics are strong as well as there arts department. Cambridge is truly Christ centered and shapes the whole child, mind body and spirit. ir.
We love Cambridge Christian School. The new headmaster has done a wonderful job in his first year. We have one child in the lower school and one that will be starting Kindergarten next fall. The faculty is great, our child loves it and our other one can't wait to get there. The most important thing to us regarding public, private or Christian school was the Christian aspect. This school is exactly what we wanted and we love it and plan to have both of our kids there through 12th grade. Praise God that there's such a wonderful school as this in our area!
When bullying or acidents happen the school goes into defensive mode. They are more concerned about the school than the children. That includes accusing children and parents of lying.
this is a great school, where parents are extremely involved and the children get an excellent head start in life.
Two of our children attended The Cambridge School from the ages of 6th grade through 12th. We found the academic aspects of their programs to be exceptional. The most important thing our children received however, was a strong sense of accomplishment, caring for other, strengthening of their faith and a strong moral and ethical foundation. We can not recommend highly enough the importance this school played in their lives. The music and sports programs were incredible. Music is the core of this school. It drives the students emotionally and spirtually to look within and strive to be their very best. The school promotes community service and sponsors annual missions trips for choir members in third world countries. The teachers and parents work closely to achieve a level of excellence seldom seen at a high school level. We only hope that Cambridge is their for our grandchildren.
