Academic programs are good with curriculum including BJ and aBeka through 6th grade. Other curriculum are included in 7-12. Music, art, and sports are good (no football). Parental involvement is encouraged.
My son recently graduated from this school. I also have a daughter in the 7th grade. They both love the school. The entire staff is excellent. I'd rate this school an A+.
This is not the best school around or our children would never make it into college. This is a great school for elementary children. They will be educated in the bible, moral behavior and christianity. You could not ask for better in that respect. However, their teachers are not hired based on their academic qualifications and in most cases the teachers are not even qualified to teach the grade level or subjects that are given them. The school's focus is on its church and it requires that all teachers attend this church without exception or they will not have a future at CPCS. If you want to verify how CPCS students thrive once they leave to attend another school, I would suggest you contact other schools in this area and ask. Contact Sickles High School for example. You will find CPCS students have a reputation for struggling due to the weak academics at CPCS. My child has been in this school for over 8 years and it has gotten worse. We will be changing schools so that our child has the best opportunity at college entrance.
An average school. I found that the children do not get the 'cutting edge' in teaching. Academics are not what I am used to in other Christian schools my children have been to in other states. It may be good for around here?
This in my opinion is the best school on the planet. The teachers are there because it is a ministry, and the love they have for the children and for God is apparent in their teaching. The curriculum far surpasses that of public schools and parental involvement is welcomed and they have a volunteer program that is the best I have ever seen. Just a note, the school does go up to 12th grade now. If you want the best education for your child and the best nurturing as well, this is the school for you. I would never send my children anywhere else.
My son is attending his third year at Citrus Park Christian School and we are more than pleased with individual attention that each child receives and the genuine caring shown from the faculty to each child and parent. The curriculum used is A Beka Book & Bob Jones University for a strong academic program that is also in line with our Christian faith. The school is also accredited by the FACCS, AACS & NCPSA. Tuition is very reasonable and opportunities for the kids are abundant...singing, band, sports, fieldtrips, etc. I plan to send my son and any future children to CPCS through high school.
CPCS has added a high school and now goes through 12th grade. There is huge emphasis on Christianity and accoutability is peril, on and off campus. That is CPCS's greatest feature.
