Beach Park School is a home for my children. My kids have attended BPS for the past five years. The faculty of BPS is not only capable, but is composed of some of the most child focused and loving people one could meet. Being a Montessori trained teacher and having studied child development at a graduate level, I can confidently say that BPS focuses on the true core of Montessori-a child centered community offering the students a safe haven for learning and a place to grow at their own pace. I have seen all types of children grow and find their place at BPS. Each child is an individual person and Beach Park School offers a place for that individuality to grow and strengthen so that when the child leaves the school's gates for the last time.....they are ready to face whatever comes their way!

Beach Park is an amazing place for children to learn. As the parent of two students I can not imagine my children being at any other school. The staff and teachers work tirelessly to make a safe and loving environment for all children to learn and prosper. I feel very fortunate that we have found this wonderful school. Every day our children want to go to school and truly think that learnning is fun. Everyone at Beach Park really cares about the growth and individuality of every student. It is a wonderful community for both students and families. I am very happy to recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a school where every students counts and is appreciated for who they are.

This is the worst school in South Tampa. If your child does not fit their mold they have no chance there. Which is the opposite of true Montessori philosophy. I wish I had listened to rumors about their incompentance and not been swayed by their seemingly happy environment. They are overpriced, and elitest. The two teachers we dealt with had no compassion or strategies beyond what they read in a pamphlet. The director is an ice queen with zero personality. I would rather send my child to be taught by a pack of wolves than be subjected to one more day in this school.

I have nothing but fabulous things to say about Beach Park, which is a truly special school filled with love, learning, energy and community. My son just finished his first year at Beach Park, as a first grader, and I cannot believe how much he has learned in a single year. He is flourishing academically, socially, and emotionally. He is a quirky, eccentric kid and at Beach Park they celebrate and appreciate that rather than trying to squash the nonconformity out of him as they did in public kindergarten. The school is truly loving, close-knit, and adorable. I love all the teachers and staff, I love the student-driven, flexible learning and the emphasis on taking one's work seriously. and I will recommend the school to anyone looking for a school in Tampa.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
