I am a grandparent and aunt of 6 children at Walton and I would not have chosen any other school for my children at this particular time. Not only is the staff prepared academically, but they care about other areas of the childrens' lives as well. My hat goes off to Walton Academy and its staff.

I am a parent of 2 children that attend this school and having come from a traditional public school, have found this environment to be wonderful for my children. The teachers and administrators are wonderful and have a real focus on the individual student and his or her overall growth.

I have taken the time to read all of the postings about Walton Academy. Since this school year has begun there is a vast difference in opinions from the previous school year. Walton Academy may not look like your typical school because it is NOT! It is UNIQUE, ONE OF A KIND, and a PHENOMENAL learning environment. It has the most dedicated and caring group of teachers. The teachers work extremely hard to make Walton Academy a success. The amount of hard work, dedication, and personal time that the faculty and staff contribute to making the school an A+ school is noble. In my eyes, this school is a blessing.

Walton Academy is a great charter school because it embraces the artistic side of each child. It is a proven fact that the arts add dimension to the learning process. Children involved in the arts traditionally do better in school when there is a combination of academics and arts. WAY TO GO WAPA!!!

I love Walton Academy for the Performing Arts because not only to they motivate their students to be the best, they provide a loving environment for their students. The school has the best of both worlds 'academics' and 'performing arts.' It's A+ school of choice with students who excel in performance! I LOVE WAPA!

This school have got to be the Worst! school in the state of Florida. Dont waste you time, energy and money sending your child there. The principal is the worst!, and the teachers have no pride nor integrity, and no passion for teaching. I agree with all the postings listed here thus far, and i am relieved im not the only parent that feels this way. I withdrew my child from the school.

This school is such a joke. All they need is for someone to shed light on to what is going on in that school and it would get shut down in a heart beat. Administration does not care about the students...All they care about is money, money, money. They claim to believe in God, but they have some of the nastiest attitudes I have ever seen in my life and I took my child out when I truly saw them for who they were. Do not send your children to this school!!!

Walton Academy is a great disapointment. The circullum specilist has no degree an so how can she know how to do her job? The school gets 10 grand and they want to put on a production of the WIZ? These kids need books a playground would be nice. They may even want to consider paying their staff a little more money so they can stop the high turn over because that is not healthy for the children at all. They can even invest in a bathroom that is big enough for the children. No room for the WIZ!

I agree with the post below. This school has been a big disappointment. They only focus on FCAT. My child beggs to stay home from school at least twice a week. Teachers change with no notice to the parents at all. Worst of all are the space issues. The school is starting to look like a storage unit. Boxes stacked everywhere. Although it is a performing arts schools, they focus very little on the arts at all. Dance classes are no long offered. They have a choir but they have no performances. I would not recommend this school at all. There is no playground, no gym, and only 1 bathroom.

First of all, my child absolutely loves this school. I am concerned about organization of the school. There always seems to be boxes and stacks of 'stuff' everywhere. I also believe they school has outgrown the building. The after school program has been the biggest disappoint of all. The after school director is the worst I have ever seen!
