I've had two kids go through this school. The teachers and office personnel are VERY nice (especially the office personnel!), and the kids are held to a high standard (i.e. no saggy pants, piercings, etc.) and I love that! I'm sorry to say though, that the kids are not expected to do much and even my son who puts minimal effort into his work can get high grades. The curriculum and expectations are WAY too easy - it's easy to see why FL has such a rotten reputation for it's education. Very low standards educationally are held here, IMO. I also don't like the block system - the teachers teach for a short time, then the kids have lots of "down time" to do their homework. I do love the people who work there, but I just wish they'd hold the kids to higher expectations educationally...
Great school! Missed an A by 2 points! Great music and art program. Music teacher is exceptional and really has created a strong music program. He should apply for the State's Music Demonstration School program. The fields are in great shape and the envy of other schools. Block scheduling has been a strength, too.
