This school has been consistently going downhill for years due to the very poor leadership and oversight! Some teachers are excellent, but all are scared of the 'powers that be'. Education is ok, but I would no longer send my children to this place!!
Was a great school, but with a new principle that rules with an iron fist, she has really brought down the school in terms of it being the once school of love and teaching to more of a school of "it's my way or the highway" Teachers are afraid to say or do anything in fear of losing their jobs. The principle will breach your contract with no notice and for any reason she chooses. Not a pleasant event when your children have been there for a little while and in the middle of a school year. There are plenty of other great private schools to choose from.
I have 2 children that attend this school. I am very very happy with the education they are receiving. One review said that that they constantly ask for donations and fundraisers but this has not been my experience. Once a year they have a sports fundraiser and I've never been asked for a donation. My children love going to school and are receiving a fabulous education! Well worth the money!
I cannot speak highly enough of this excellent Christian school. I live near Tampa, but it's worth the drive to know that my kids are receiving an outstanding education. Like the other reviewers said, their athletics programs are unbelievably good. (I think the principal used to play pro-baseball a while back, so he may play some part in that...) But it's the academic excellence that all of the faculty exhibits that has my kids returning each year. It is a FACT that the students attending here rank 1 to 2 grades higher than the national average on their SATs. That's probably one reason why they were just voted as the Best private school in Brandon for 2010 by the Brandon News and Tribune.
I went there for 4 years and it was a great experience they teach the children to read at a young age so now i read better than most college kids.( I am in 7th grade) Also the have an awesome athletics program , their cheerleaders win nationals every year( I was on the team) and it is a really good school, but it is costly ( lots of money and they always demand more) but its worth it.
I went to Grace from K-12th grade and can tell you first hand they totally prepared for what was ahead. Grace Christian Schools education both spiritually and academically is amazing. You will not find teachers who care more for these students anywhere! My two children attend Grace and I could not be more please with the results. My daughter who is in first grade can read better than most 4th graders in the public school system. I would not only recommend Grace Christian to others I would highly suggest it!
My children attended there for three years. We had a pretty good experience. The teachers they had were great. Expensive tuition and constantly asking for donations and/or doing fundraisers.
