this school is good educationally but I can agree with a lot of the other comments saying that the teachers are afraid to do or say anything in fear of losing there jobs and the tuition is very high n they are always asking for donations and/or doing a fundraiser. also about the couches being not fit for the job because a majority of them are volunteer dads. The principle is extremely unprofessional . the main issue with this school is poor leadership! With out the right leadership the education will not even get to be used.the school has such bad leadership that the students are forced to take the lead. so the high school runs the school. OVER ALL ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY TO SEND YOU CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL!!!

My son went to Grace Christian from 8th grade to 12th, graduating in 2009. Principle Barry McKeen was probably the most important reason why my son turned out to be a responsible, respectful, serving, patriot Christian American man. So..... If you want your child to learn what is truly right from wrong, this is your school. If you want your child to actually learn math, how to read & write, of history - including the constitution, while taking your your child out of Common Core curriculum, this is your school. If you want your child to learn about the Bible and live the life of Christianity, this is your school. If you want to feel your child is safe, this is your school. If you want your child to learn to respect adults while being a good role model to younger students by being kind, helpful and friendly, this is your school. If you want your child to really have the opportunity to be on a sports team, be a cheerleader, be in the choir, be in a musical or play, be a class leader or even be the homecoming king or queen, this is your school. If you want kids surrounding your child that do drugs, curse, bully and disrespect others, then this is not your school. Think About It.

My oldest son just graduated from High School at Grace Christian. His 4 years at this school has been a wonderful journey. Teachers are amazing. My son is leaving the school very well prepared academically. He is taking with him the best education ever based on a Christian foundation. Grace Christian has a great sports program and many extra curricular activities. School staff is very family oriented and one hundred percent committed to the kids. Our family is looking forward to some more successful and fun years at Grace Christian with our youngest son . We highly recommend Grace Christian School

I highly recommend Grace Christian School. Both of my sons attended GCS from 2006 when we moved into the area. Our oldest graduated in 2009 and our other son in 2011. GCS is strong academically and athletically, and also provides a strong Christian foundation that gives the most balanced education experience. The kids grow and mature academically, personally, and spiritually. The staff and the teachers love every child and really care about their success and future. They truly invest themselves in the students' lives. There is discipline and structure along with encouragement, nurturing, and fun. Our oldest son just graduated college this year and I know that GCS gave him the kind of preparation he needed to succeed in college and beyond. Our other son is halfway through college now and doing very well. I want to thank GCS staff and teachers for the great education and wonderful environment they provided our sons over the years. They are more than teachers and administrators. They are mentors and friends to the students. If you are looking for a Christian school in this area that goes from preschool all the way to high school, this is it!

This school is amazing! The leadership there is so wonderful. Mr. McKeen (Principal) has a true passion for young people and wants to see them succeed in life. He is a true example of what a Christian man should be and he is the kind of man you want your kids to be learning from and under the leadership of. He and his wife Becky are a true picture of what a Servant of the Lord should be. They are always there if needed, and have extended a hand of love to any and all who need it. I would recommend this school as the best Christian school in the area. It has the best, and most Godly, leadership of any school in the Tampa Bay area (and I went to another school in the area.) Best wishes to any and all who read this and chose to send their kids to Grace Christian School. You will truly be blessed!

My two children have attended Grace for several years. I could not be happier with the education they have received. They have experienced teachers that care about them and want to see them succeed. Many new and exciting things are happening at Grace and we are looking forward to the coming years.

Grace Christian School has an amazing staff. Since we moved to this school our daughter is improving in all areas and actually likes school again. The teachers REALLY love the kids and are always available for extra help. So many activities available to participate in and the sports program is amazing. Love the fact that the teachers and curriculum are targeted to really help with college prep. Love that my child is getting a Bible based education.

My children gave been going to Grace for a few years now. The best thing about Grace Christian School is the teachers. Their dedication to the students and their strong faith is what makes this school stand out head and shoulders above the rest. Daily The teachers are well prepared and academically challenge their students to fully prepare them for the world they will eventually enter. They offer a well rounded educational experience.

Grace Christian is just as they say: academic excellence, with a Christian emphasis. The Staff, the curriculum and the love for the students is clearly reflected at Grace Christian School. Although they have experienced some tough times the past year and a half, they have been true and faithful servants to The Lord , the students and parents. They continue to move on and teach the Word of God, with high academics. There is no doubt in my mind my soon to be Fourth Grader would not be the sweet, obedient girl that she is without the leadership and loves she's received since Kindergarten. Truly blessed and thankful for Grace Christian.

My grandchildren attend Grace Christian, not only is it a wonderful learning school, but Grace offers so much more, such as all levels of sports, various school wide events and Christian Fellowship.I would highly recommend Grace Christian to any parent seeking to enrich their child.

I can't imagine sending my child anywhere else. The same teachers have been there for years. They are truly dedicated to giving your child a great education as well as Christian principles and values. I know my child is being well taken care of and is safe while he is at school.

I went to grace kindergarten through 12th. I really enjoyed my time there. I graduated two years ago and have been not only been excelling in college, but also following what I believe to be God's plan for my life. I would not have been able to accomplish any of the things I have without the values that grace taught me while I was attending school there. The teachers care about there students and sacrifice a lot for them. Great school and can't wait to see how it continues to grow in the coming years!!

I attended GCS for 9 years. I received an excellent education and felt as prepared as one could be going into college I was involved in athletics. The coaches taught me self-discipline, dedication and work ethic not just on the court/field but in life....traits that have followed me into adulthood. I almost always felt encouraged and challeneged. I would recommend this school to parents who want their children to grow up with a strong Christian based education and a solid school that has structure, rules and expectations of certain behavior.

This place is not a good school. The entire academic program is outdated.. This is a very small school and it does not have the proper resources to educate your child. They have numerous staff members that are not qualified to teach anything. Most of the coaches are volunteer dad coaches that know little about the sport they are coaching. However, they are very good at making sure their child plays. They have limited chapel for elementary students like 4x a year. The owner of the school takes great pride in doing things her way or the highway.

The school has not had 500 students since the early 1980s. The staff will lie and say the average class size is 18 but it is more like 5-10. That is horrible prepare for the classes to be doubled up.

Love this school! My experience with Grace Christian Schools has always been very positive. Their curriculum is fantastic and the teachers there really do care. I would choose this school again and again! Thank you Grace - great job!

This school has been consistently going downhill for years due to the very poor leadership and oversight! Some teachers are excellent, but all are scared of the 'powers that be'. Education is ok, but I would no longer send my children to this place!!

Was a great school, but with a new principle that rules with an iron fist, she has really brought down the school in terms of it being the once school of love and teaching to more of a school of "it's my way or the highway" Teachers are afraid to say or do anything in fear of losing their jobs. The principle will breach your contract with no notice and for any reason she chooses. Not a pleasant event when your children have been there for a little while and in the middle of a school year. There are plenty of other great private schools to choose from.

I have 2 children that attend this school. I am very very happy with the education they are receiving. One review said that that they constantly ask for donations and fundraisers but this has not been my experience. Once a year they have a sports fundraiser and I've never been asked for a donation. My children love going to school and are receiving a fabulous education! Well worth the money!

I cannot speak highly enough of this excellent Christian school. I live near Tampa, but it's worth the drive to know that my kids are receiving an outstanding education. Like the other reviewers said, their athletics programs are unbelievably good. (I think the principal used to play pro-baseball a while back, so he may play some part in that...) But it's the academic excellence that all of the faculty exhibits that has my kids returning each year. It is a FACT that the students attending here rank 1 to 2 grades higher than the national average on their SATs. That's probably one reason why they were just voted as the Best private school in Brandon for 2010 by the Brandon News and Tribune.
