I have just started high school and happen to have stumbled upon this site, and doing so I did realize how much I did miss the greatest school I had ever stepped foot in. The teachers are wonderful, the organization of the schedule, the clubs, the education, etc. is outstanding. Education is excellent and satisfying, rather than boring. This school is neither lacking in electives nor in academics, with a gifted program and band, chorus, and even a handbells class. In my three years attending, nothing became banal, rather the school was always an enjoyable place to be.

I am a 7th grade gifted student here and have been at Binks from K-5, and am still going to Landings. I'm in the advanced and jazz bands, and I have to say this school is amazing. I'm learning much more, and I'm having ten times more fun than I was before I came. Everyone is friends with one another in the gifted program, and we all get along, but there are many more fights and bad kids in the non-gifted program, but we are mostly separated, and don't have any academic classes together. There is also a great special needs program, and there is a well set schedule for classes. The band and chorus programs are amazing (in my opinion the band is better,) and we have always received superior ratings. It's great for any child, especially the special needs and musically gifted ones.

i am a student at this school, it is a great place for learning. But if your child gets into fights easlily i wouldnt send them here. Although we may make a few mistakes, it is a great school and i really hate to leave!! :]

My favorite thing about this school is the band program. Aside from that, I am not completely satisfied. Some teachers are lazy and non-caring. Even during this election year, there was nothing done to inform the students of politics. There are occasional fights, and some 'gangster' kids, but overall, its pretty sage.

School is ok, education is good, however, some of the teachers leave a lot to be desired. At the very least, the teachers need to be monitored by the administration more closely.

The quality of the staff and the educational program is good, but the school building is poorly maintained, unkempt, and has tremendous mold problems. Most children with allergies or asthma are suffering. The problem should have been solved but it has not to this date.

Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math. The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
