As both a parent and teacher at this school, I can only say one word to descibethis school: amazing!!!! The teachers are wonderful and so dedicated to ginving children an exceptional education! The children at EGES are so fortunate to learn from young, fresh teachers that are eagar and dedicated. The principal expects 100% from her staff and only hires the BEST!!! I feel so blessed to be a part of this 'A' rated, 5 Star school!!!
Yes the school is alright but communicating with the teachers and principal not good at all, everyone is so busy on an fcat test until they are not concern about anything else.
I feel truly blessed that my son has been attending EGES since its inception (in the concretables!). All of his teachers have contributed to his success emotionally and academically. Thank you Principal Pasterczyk!!
I really like this school! The school has great Kindergarten teachers that care about their students and are willing to give me updates about my son's progress or lack there of very often. My son loves all of his teachers. The help he is getting in speech is helping him out a great deal. He is in an after school science investigation club and is having so much fun while being educated. I believe this school does work hard to keep its rating but I don't feel that my child is suffering at all from that. As far as dropping him off at school I will admit that if you get to the school after 7:40am there is a long line. I realized that 75% of the children that attend the school are car riders, walkers or bicycle riders.
Great school on the whole. Very concerned with test scores of course -they all are these days. Pick up/drop off is a nightmare! We are late vey often because we can't make a left off Forest Hill. Every parent is turning right on red from the other direction and never gives us an inch. plus these only 1/2 for car to line up outside of the school. Seems like teachers are always pregnant. Which is Not good for the kids. Subs dont teach and dont displine yet they know how to bitch about work getting not done. Teachers are hormonal and cranky as expected when pregnant. Really unhappy that 2 of the 3 teachers my son has are out for 3 months due to maternity leave. Guess we dont need to learn science or reading & writting this half of the year.
I wish I've had as much luck as the parents below. I find this school is all about getting an 'A' rating and competing with Binks Elementary. The principal has ignored my complaint and suggestion about dismissal. I've had better luck with the vice-principal.
I have 2 children attending Elbridge Gale and my husband and I are thrilled with the education they are receiving. The SACC program is also excellent, offers wide range of club and athletic options to keep kids active.
My daughter is going into second grade, finishing her second year at elbridge gale and i am so pleased with her progress and the school in general. Way to go eges!
My daughter is in Kindergarten this year. I can not believe how much she has learned. She enjoyed the many family projects and field trips. I am constantly surprised when I open her EGE Communication Folder and review her work.
In my opinion there is only one word that can dexcribe this school: excellent. My children are happy to go to school, they learn and they have fun. Staff... Hard workers, dedicated. Overall, the best in Palm Beach County.
I love elbridge gale elementary! We are so fortunate to have this school in our community. Yes the first 2 weeks are always alot of adjusting, as is with any other school. We have a great staff of teachers and should be happy that we have a principal and vice principal that are visible and actually greet us and take the time to talk with us. Last year we were blessed with a great 1st grade team and this year I feel quite confident that they will live up to my standards as well. Mrs.Alvarez, ms.Castillo, and mrs.Franklin were magnificent educators. My family was very pleased with last years attendance to our new school. We are definately happy to be back as we dicover, learn, and grow with our school! keep up the great work as you settle in for 07/08 school year.
I am a parent of a 3rd and 5th grader. I see no great strides at this school yet. The fact that the children have several different teachers is a concern of mine because I never get to have that ability to really form a relationship with the teacher because there are 6 instead of 2. My son has some strugles with school and the fact that summer time classes are only available to children in the esole program is a big problem to me. It should be available to all. My childrens teachers have been wonderfull the few that I have gotten to know. Mr. Spannelli and Mrs. Zarra are wonderfull teachers and any child who has them will do well .
We are new to the Wellington area and with much apprehension, I enrolled my daughter in a new school in her last year of elementary--5th grade. Ms. Sheppard seems very nice and has made this adjustment for my daughter well, so far. It' s only 3 days into the new school year so time will tell. I am rather disappointed with the way my nephew's ESOL was handled. The response time was phenomenal but the school needs much help in getting the ESOL program off the ground.
Elbridge Gale Elementary rocks! The Principal, Vice Principal, the fabulous team of dedicated Teachers and EGE's dedicated students who love to learn and love to go to school. My children have migrated from the other wellington schools due to re-zoning but nothing pans out like Elbridge. They work with all levels of students' needs and nurture a curriculum that locks them into learning from science to reading to languages to math and culture, to special programs after-school, enrichment programs, and speech and other assistance. They have a high respect for students and above all, my children can't wait to tell me what they did in school today. Five stars to everyone at EGE and to the great leadership and vision of Principal Pasterczyk. By the way, the 4th Grade 2006-2007 scored the highest in writing, and for the bottom 25% students, a large % made tremendous learning gains! EGE Rocks!
We have recently moved to Wellington, and I was very unsure of the quality of schools here. Elbridge Gale has been a huge pleasant suprise. The Teachers are incredible, the Principles are very involved, and do care deeply about all aspects of the school experience. There are a few teachers that I have worked with that are above and beyond Mrs. Sagovac, Mr. Bochichio, Mrs. Glassgold, and Mrs Lutz are amazing. They are dedicated to their professional. The PTA is also a very dedicated group.
I can not say enough about Elbridge Gale. My daughter has learned sooooo much. The teachers are incredible! They care about the students, and their learning process. If a child needs help in a subject, the teacher/school notify's the parent and offers after-school tutoring. Mrs. Pasterczyk, the principal is extraodinary! She is always visible, approachable and involved in your child's education. I am so happy that my daughter is attending Elbridge Gale. I feel so confident now that she will and is getting a good education and no, it does not circle around the FCAT as most other schools. This school wants and gives your child the best oppurtunities to learn and get the education they so deserve. If only the other elementary schools would have a principal and teaching staff as Elbridge Gale!
This school is wonderful, the teachers are great! The new school is beautiful! I am so glad my child is in this school district. We feel so lucky!
I couldn't be more thrilled with my daughter's school. The teachers and principal are phenominal! We are in a temporary campus this year, and I can't wait for the new school to open. My daughter has learned so much this year and is thriving in this excellent environment!
