Extremely disappointed! I honestly don't understand how and why this school has a 9 rating and 4 stars. Our son got robbed 3 times and only got 1 item recovered. The teacher in charge when the last episode happened told him "that's life" and offered him no help whatsoever. There are very few clubs, kids aren't motivated enough and we've never had a phone conference with any of his teachers, let alone a face-to-face one. I have not seen the first reading assignment (novels, essays, classics, theatre, poetry...), I guess they don't consider it a priority and don't mind kids being illiterate and uncultured. Uniforms and dress code are not enforced and at the beginning of the year, at the only meeting we've been invited, every idea and initiative brought up by parents was rejected (they had an excuse to decline every single one). There hasn't been a field day or carnival or any sort of extracurricular, family oriented activity, so you can get a pretty clear picture of what they think of parent involvement. Unless all other Middle Schools around you are much worse, my advice, don't send your child there.

My son has ADHD but is very bright. This school has not followed through with any of the accommodations on his 504 plan and we are constantly having problems with them. There is no guidance or tolerance for any kid that does not fit in their mold of a child. I feel that his creativity has been stifled and as many teachers have clearly stated, he has not been working at his full potential. This is a kid who got a 98 on his FCAT and has been flirting with failing this whole year. It is now the end of the 4th quarter and I am still fighting to get his accommodations met. As long as your kid is smart and perfectly behaved and never steps outside the box, this is an excellent school.

Excellent attention to Florida cirriculum and individual student needs. Plus special FCAT camp for FCAT preparation and lots of out of classroom activities to make learning fun.

I have been at Tequesta Trace from 7th grade to 8th grade, and the school is great! Amazing teachers, different personalities, but very nice teachers. You can connect with the teachers. Some could be mean, but that happens everywhere else. I felt safe there and the sports are great. There are different levels of classes, and most of the teachers make you feel like you can succeed, even if you are a trouble-maker. They are pushing you to do your best. Oh, I just hope Western High has teachers like Tequesta. Such a great school. It is clean and friendly...continuing...

We arrived in Weston in 2008. After years of private schools in different countries, we were surprised for the quality of this public school. If you kid is committed, definitively they need to attend honors class. Safe, clean, secure, and some exceedingly good teachers and others average, just like in life. Authorities are consistently very good. Food, instead, is perfect for creating the next generation of overweight kids...fast food everywhere and the 'light' foods are nothing kids want to take everyday. A lot of focus as parents is required on this. Small # of students (858) helps keep a good environment. Multicultural environment.

Awesome school, but some of the teachers don't believe that some students will achieve. Its a safe environment and every clean. A place were you can learn a lot if you listen.

We moved here in the summer of 07. My two oldest children are students at TTMS. I have one child in the ESE program and my other child is in AP classes. Both my girls love this experience. I would like to see more opportunities for parent/teacher/principal interaction. Mr. Jimmy who greets all who enter TTMS is a warm and caring man. He helps to make this school stand out from other schools in the area.

I went to Tequesta last year and it was amazing. The kids are so nice and welcoming. Being an eight grader at a new school was hard but the teachers helped me catch on to how the school works and so did the students. The teachers like so make the classes as fun as possible so your still learning but having fun doing it. My brother and sister go there now and they absolutely love it.

This school is terrible. A lot of the kids are rude and most have little or no respect for the teachers. There are many bullies and many fights. There isn't much parent/teacher relationship either. Not recommended.
