the teachers really care about the students there and go above and beyond to make learning fun and a priority. they really care about the kids
I am extremely happy with the attitudes of the teachers and staff at WES. I have never seen such positive attitudes with staff across the board. From the front office to the classrooms. They go beyond the call of duty. Keep up the hard work.
This school has a very caring atmosphere. The staff make you feel like they have known you forever. My daughter has been at the school for almost a week and she loves it there.
I feel this school and its staff is in for a very rude awakening. This small town is growing by leaps and bounds. I don't feel the staff in any area of the school will be able to meet the outsider's expectations. They do have a few fantastic teacher's but if they leave the school it would be a major set back for the students.
Williston elementary School is an A rated school, and fine for the middle of the road student. The 2005/06 Art department had fifth grade students working on the color wheel. (This was also covered in first grade at most schools)The Computer lab was more or less just used to have the students practice for the FCAT. The 'Gifted program' was unfunded.(This may have changed for the 2006/07 year)Fourth grade has a great writing program. The Music/PE department are more than adequate, managing numerous events throughout the year. The Media Center is large with a knowledgeable caring staff. The 'Wildcat Cafe' offers great tasting food and encourages parents to join in for lunch, they also host special events. The school is well constructed and maintaned. Parent involvement is encouraged.Students are polite. This is a Title I school, meaning,I believe, that 65% of the student population is on free or reduced lunch.
my child is learning disabled and i like that the ESE teacher comes into the class room and works with all the children in small groups. this way the child doesnt feel singled out and also the mainstream kids get the benefit of getting extra help in small groups too. the regular ed and ESE teachers work well together to help all of the kids.
