Both my children attend Elbert this past year is my daughters last year and she LOVED her teacher he worked with her and this has been her best year yet. My son started KG this year and his teacher has taught him so much - very happy with these two teachers. And when I did have a problem I went to the principal and he took care of it right then and there!

The staff are great people, especially MR Robert Clarke! He was amazing with my little girl, very concerned with what ever she was doing. and he was very involved when ever I had an kind of concern! Unfortunately they were unable to help my daughter as she has PDD and Epilepsy...she is about 6-8 months behind the other kids and just could not catch up! I have since switched her to Our Childrens Academy in Lake Wales and I believe they are going to be her Saint! To the lady who just posted about her son, please check out OCA, they WILL help him!!

I'm a working mom, my daughter has been @ E.E. from 1-5 grade, came from a private school. Elbert is HER school, has enjoyed all her teachers throughout the yrs. has good grades & made good friends along the way. Caring parents do stay in touch with teachers & other parents, I am a witness to this. The parents who choose not to get involved, miss out, to their kids disadvantage. This is true for any parent, regardless of race, financial status, and placement. My youngest child is now in his 2nd yr. at Elbert. He has also thoroughly enjoyed the learning environment. As a newly diagnosed type 1 diabetic, he has had the best carryover care from the school Nurse, Administration Staff, Cafe Staff and of course his own teacher! It is OUR job as parents to communicate with our childrens' educators. No excuses, invest in kids future w/ UR time.

Parent involvment is low. But if parents would go the extra mile, push to get involved They have needs and can use parents if the parents are available and will commit.

The level of parent involvement at Elbert is low due to lack of communication from the school. PTO is closed to parents of the school and no one is notified of up coming PTO meetings and events have low turn out because of late notice to parents and students.
