Wahneta Elementary School

Wahneta Elementary is a community school with a caring staff and a wonderful group of children. Staff, students and parents work (and play) together in a variety of programs and activities in order to bring the school and community together.

Wahneta Elementary remains a great school. I don't care what others say. The children are great. The teachers work hard. The administration is top notch. Everyone is there for the children and the children come first. I care about my child's comfort and learning environment. Test scores don't always tell the whole story.

I think this is a wonderful school. I have never found more caring teachers or a better run administration. I have taught for over 10 years and this is now my home. The teachers at this school love the students and will do everything in their power to help both students, parents, and families. Truly a family based school!

All three of my children have gone to Wahneta. My oldest daughter is now in the nineth grade and still has fond memories of Wahneta. The staff is great and very involved. They have had some of the nicest teachers there. They have a good music program which includes chorus and strings, for fifth grade only. The principle goes out of his way to make this a safe school. He even walks the children down the road because there is no cross gaurd on one of the side streets. There is a gifted program that has just been started, but only has a teacher every Wednsday. I would give this school a 'good' rating comparing it to other schools my children have attended.

I think Mrs.Brenda Levan should be teacher of the month cause she is so great.
