...I wanted to add a review for the parents that are searching for a better education and perhaps the best in Florida. Suffice it to say that my son who graduated in 2011 is an Accounting major and on the Dean's List at UCF.....it was just a fleeting moment ago that we were walking into TGS for hisfirst dayin kindergarten class with Mrs. Reaves, whom we still love and admire. Thank you to The Geneva School !

My children have been attending The Geneva School for a number of years. The school's leadership is top notch, and their willingness to listen when you have an issue is outstanding. The Geneva School is unapologetic about expecting the most out of each and every child. But, they provide a supportive environment and open communication with the parents to make that happen. We have been extremely happy with our choice of school for our children.

Our two boys have been attending The Geneva School for over two years now, and we are very happy with the education they are receiving. Two things stand out about The Geneva School: First, the teachers are well educated and completely dedicated to providing the best education they can. Second, the curriculum is organized around a principled approach that ties together history, science, and the humanities in a way that allows the students to see connections that they normally would not see at this age. Finally, being smart and loving to learn is "cool" at The Geneva School, without, however, creating a "pressure cooker" atmosphere. Instead, everyone's strengths are acknowledged, and any weakness addressed in a kind and supportive manner by everyone, from the Principal and the Dean of Students, through the teachers and staff, and ultimately by the fellow students. I couldn't imagine a better environment for learning! I went to an excellent school, and I often wish that I could have gone to the Geneva School!

My wife and I have found The Geneva School to be a special place for our three children to learn and grow. We haven't experienced a school where the curriculum stimulates our children's minds and at the same time mold their character. I cannot recommend strongly enough The Geneva School to any parent looking for a place to educate their children to compete in the 21st century.

As the parents of a teenage boy, picking a school can be a daunting task. We were looking for challenging academics, school leadership we could believe in, an encouraging and character forming Christian atmosphere and athletics. The Geneva School has delivered on all counts. The faculty at TGS is firm but encouraging and supportive. Being compassionate enough to understand that "boys will be boys" but firm enough to enforce fair standards of behavior is a difficult balancing act, but the leadership at TGS does it with professionalism and grace. The curriculum is challenging but rewarding. We are grateful for the experience and education our son is getting and recommend the school without reservation.

My children have been here for 3 years now and I must say that I couldn't be happier. I wasn't planning to do private school, but when my oldest was ready for Kindergarten, i just couldn't imagine putting him on a school bus, based on horror stories I've heard from other parents in the area. Is it expensive? Yes, but scholarships are very available for those who need them (my kids go for half price), so just ask. What makes the school so great? Two things, great curriculum, great teachers. If you haven't heard of classical education, it's basically going back to how people were educated in the medieval time period. So instead of "school's need more computers" they say "education has lost it's way, lets go back to when it was great." And they do.

The Geneva School has been a true God send for us. The moment I walked in the door I knew my children HAD to attend. The classical education integrated with the bible and crossing all subjects is amazing! the school is truly a community in and of its self. There are always things to do together, whether its serving our community, roller skating, or Parent gatherings. The teachers are truly gifted by God and they pour their love of the Lord and teaching into the children every day. Being able to attend The Geneva School is a blessing we are grateful for everyday!

I absolutely love The Geneva School! I have one son who just finished his first year at TGS, and it has been such a blessing to our family. The academics & curriculum are as strong as I've seen anywhere, and every parent will love the combination of the Christian Classical method. The real difference, though, is that the faculty genuinely CARES about my child. And that extends to outside the classroom, too. His teacher this year came to outside sports events and childrens' birthday parties, gave us her cell phone #, and her communication with me was absolutely unmatched. The small class sizes and dedicated teachers and staff are something very unique and special.

This will be our third year at The Geneva school. We have three children attending. We chose TGS out of all the other private schools in our area because of its classical approach to a Christian education. We love the curriculum, but most of all we love the teachers, and their dedication to their students. The Geneva School is, in our opinion best described as a loving family.

STRAIGHT TALK HERE: I will speak candidly in hopes that other searching parents may appreciate a practical voice. Our children have attended both public and "very recognizable" private schools, and without exception, The Geneva School has exceeded any previous measure. The culture is nurturing, yet challenging. In a brilliant manner, the faculty seems to be overqualified in both professional and life guidance skills. This tells me they are passionate about the classical program and the institution delivering it. The wholesome environment promotes wholesome relationships on every level; something seemingly lost in schools that don't offer students a sense of being balanced in a complex world. Unlike many well-branded schools shrouded in shades of country club pedigree, The Geneva School is not about a Who's Who list of parents. Yet quietly and modestly, many impressive pillars of the community comprise the Geneva family. It is this "less ego" and "more ergo" that makes this institution both refreshing and a confident choice for my children's developmental path.

The 2011-2012 will be our 10th year at The Geneva School. This past year was a difficult one financially for our family, but in cutting expenses, my husband expressed that tuition here is an investment in our children; & we simply aren't willing to sacrifice their education. Geneva provides a culture of excellence in academics and character. It is safe for each student to be who they are with their peers and their teachers. Simply put, it has been the best place for our children to grow into all God wants them to be.

My girls (9th and 11th grades) have been at Geneva since kindergarten and I can honestly say it has been the biggest blessing in our family's life. My wife would agree. Our children are getting Orlando's best education (as a result of the classical approach) but even more importantly, they are developing their own personal faith. The combination will allow them to boldly enter college and the marketplace with confidence and courage. I am obviously biased, but name another school that can do that and what greater gift can we give.

Love that the High School has many male teachers. High school teachers are very qualified in their subjects. Teachers love and pray for their students. The children are encouraged to strive to do their best. The children are taught to take a biblical stand in the community.

We have had our four children at The Geneva School for 5 years now, and one has graduated (with highest honors) from the school. We love the combination of excellent, challenging instruction inside and outside of class with godly mentoring from the faculty, in both the Arts and Sciences. Our school is a family. And together we are committed to pursuing Christian and classical education to its fullest extent!

Our family enjoyed many years at the Geneva School. Our children received an education that just does not compare to any other school in the approach and how the children internalize what they have experienced. They also were blessed relationally with many truly loving teachers. Our children have an amazingly rich and strong foundation in Christian values that again, were not just taught, but were guided to be internalized in their core being that have helped prepare them well for life, after The Geneva School.

Having two children at the school since kindergarten gives us a grand total of 19 years of the Geneva experience! And an experience it is...for all of us. I have learned more about the world's history and therefore God's story and where we fit in through my children's studies than I ever did on my own. Being at Geneva has opened my eyes and enticed me to learn and what it is doing for my kids is very exciting and I pray it will last a lifetime. The teachers in the upper school are beautiful examples to my family and are mentoring daily to these students, mostly in the way they live their lives, and definitely in the classroom. Their qualifications are outstanding and the way so many of them are furthering their education still is inspiring. They live the ideal of lifelong education.

We have been at the Geneva School now for two years and couldn't be happier. Our children are learning by leaps and bounds! They are excited about going to school, are making many wonderful friends and are growing both academically, socially and spiritually. Their teachers have been extremely caring and responsive and are great roll models. The staff and administration have always been very helpful and responsive. The curriculum is engaging and challenging. The classroom management is wonderful. There is a tremendous amount of respect and love that is clearly evident as you tour the campus. If you are considering our school I would urge you to simply take a tour and you will be delighted with what you find. Having toured many other schools this was the only place where I found the students to be confident, well behaved and eagerly engaged in their education. An answered prayer!

Having four children at TGS ranging in grades 3rd thru 11th I can honestly say the school has far exceeded my expectations in providing a loving enviroment, healthy discipline, outstanding qualified teachers as well as a superior education. When i say a superior education i want to include that my children are not being taught as I was by mostly memorization, but by delving deep into what they are being taught so that they have an understanding that will be apart of who they are and become. Some how my children are becoming passionate about their education. Yet, there is still one more reason we strongly believe in TGS, all this is done equipping them with the tools they need to engage the world around them, transforming it for the glory of God.

The Geneva School is right in line with our family values. We absolutely love the overall school experience, priorities, academics, and culture. In our 4 years at the school, all teachers and classes have been spectacular. Having taught at another local private school (which is much closer to our house), I believe the classical method with Christ woven into the curriculum and core values is unmatched.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
