Highlands Elementary has been a life saver for my children. From the administration who will greet you in the morning to the teachers who keep in touch on a regular basis with student progress, they are excellent.

My daughter is in kindergarden, and she loves the school, the staff is great and clean. The Teachers are professionals truly human natured. They take the time to talk to you and keep you posted on performance and motivate my daughter. My son is special needs and is also in this school. The staff is exceptional and truly the best school all around. Love it!

I also give Highlands Elementary 5 out of 5 stars! Like another reviewer, my child has special needs. She was placed in the Pre-K program at Highlands nearly 2 years ago and has flourished ever since! The superb teaching staff has more than adequately prepared her for regular education kindergarten next year. I am not only proud of my child, but also proud to say that she is a student at Highlands. The exceptional administration, teachers, and support staff have helped shape the amazing child that she has become. At Highlands, there is a clear vision about providing all children with the tools necessary to reach their greatest potential!

My family just relocated from the state of New York. We have 2 children one in the fifth grade, and one in Kindergaten. I thought that the transition would be hard for them being in a new school, let alone a new state. I have no complaints about this school. They have treated us WONDERFULLY. The have treated us with kindness and respect. The staff is superb at putting the children's well being and safety first. I have not yet volunteered at the school, but I will soon. The teachers are excellent and our children are really learning. I really recommend this school.

My son has attended Highlands for three years. Although some may think of our principal as strict and stern, her main priority is the children and their achievements. She encourages parent involvement and strives for the children to learn all that they can. There are many programs available to help children who may be falling behind or need a little help in certain subjects. I love this school and hate that we are moving.

I was very disappointed with this school when we changed from another Seminole County Public School. They cut their computer lab program, did not have a social studies book for fourth graders and music and art were brought to the classroom on rolling carts. We were there for a few months, and were not happy at all.
