I have had the best and most influential teacher in the world in this school. I have been in the sports, drama, band, and academic program. In fact, I've been involved with almost every organization, club, and honor society except for chorus and I've never had a bad experience. The band director is fantastic, the drama department (although it had its internal struggles) is great, and I met my best friend and future coworker through this school and its absolutely phenomenal Latin program. And Zach agrees with me.

I attend Winter Springs High School and I love it! It's a great school with great teachers and an all around great staff. I graduate this upcoming year, 2008, and even though I can't wait to get out I'll miss this school! Anyone who thinks that this school is bad is horribly mistaken!! Go Bears!!! :D

I attended wshs 04-06 and then transfered to oviedo my senior year. Winter springs in every way is a much better school than oviedo. The teachers are much more quailified, the administrative department is much more involved, even the student body is better. In winter springs you were expected to take honors or AP classes, everyone strived to do the best. Going to oviedo i found it was most common to take the standard classes and just slide threw school. Winter Springs High School is the best and the best graduate from it.

We had one kid graduate from WS and another still there as a freshman. We are disappointed in the pool of teachers we have. What happened to this fabulous school?

I have a child that is in special education. I think with this being a large school that these kids would do better in a smaller school environment. Most of the staff has been helpful. Make sure if you have a child in this program that you go to the IEP meetings and make yourself heard on behalf of your child. Administration is great here.

I am shocked at some of the perceptions of this school. I graduated in 2001, and was active in band and drama. I had nothing to do with sports, but took honors and AP classes. I will always be grateful for the education I received here. It is by far the best school in the county, and the interaction between the students and teachers is something often found only in post-secondary education. I entered the school a slacker, a C student, and left with a scholarship to a private college. Four years later, I'm applying to Ivy League grad schools. Trust me, I don't think I would have had the same opportunities or support elsewhere. My only complaint would be with certain members of the administration and guidance staff, but that's negligible. I wasn't the most popular, but I remember virtually every 'group' with fondness, as well as the school.

Wonderful school, great principal, dedicated teachers, many extracurricular activities. State-of-the art facilities, built in 1996; everything is practically brand-new. In addition, there is an aura of safe learning; the school is located in an affluent and well to do community.

My daughter graduated from WSHS in 2000. My son attended WSHS in 2000 and 2001. If I had it to do over with, neither of my children would have attended this school. There has been so much violence and drug related activity in the past three years, that I would not refer or advise any ones children to attend Winter Springs. Pay the extra money and send them to a Private School, where there is discipline and your child can get a better education.

I have 2 Children at Winter Springs, 1 is very active in sports and activitys, The other is not, I have found at WSHS if you are not in the Sports Program you are treated differntly, lower class citizen, other Parents have noticed this.
