I think this school is a great school. They care very much for the safety of the children and all are loved so much.
Don't be discouraged by the reviews! Zellwood Elementary is the perfect example of why simply looking at school reviews or using the Fl. school grading system to judge a school is not sufficient. We were very concerned when my daughter was beginning kindergarten. These concerns led us to explore all our options, which included private schools and 'waivers' to nearby elementary schools. However, once we toured the school and met the principal we knew it was the right place for our daughter. Ms. Duda is passionate and enthusiastic about every child's education. Most importantly, her door is always open to parents. In addition, the teachers and administration are top notch. Again, don't take any review as gospel. Do what we did, tour all the others. Then, tour Zellwood and chat with Ms. Duda. The difference will be apparent!
Ithink the leader ship at the school is not great, they do not care that much for students with sp needs, they are left behind, my child strugled last year.,I give them an 2.
i dont care for the way the school is run. they make up a calendar for the year and dont stick to it nor do they send a change of dates home. i have missed 2 award ceremonies for my child because of this. and to have a meeting with the principal is just about impossible. i love my childs teacher but as for the rest of the school it is run poorly.
Most teachers in there our good at their job but as for the school I don't like the way its run and how they handle situations with the kids. If I had to grade it, I would give it a D.
I am the Grandfather of 2 of your students and have nothing but praise from all I have seen from my own visits to the school & it's activities, as well as seeing the continued improvement in my grandchildren. Having met & talked with the principal, as well as observing him at the various functions I have attended, I am very pleased with his leadership & abilities. Keep up the good work!
My child is very successfull. I feel this is from great leadership from his teachers. Zellwood may be a 'C' to the state but it is an 'A+' to us. Zellwood is the best kept secret in Orange County. I have the proof in my own child's academic success.
The best I have been at. Very caring teachers and the principal is very informative and very professional. I thank them for the education of my granchildren. Keep up the good work!!!!
I have had nothing but the best experiences with my children at Zellwood. My oldest is entering 5th grade with my youngest starting Kindergarten this year. If the grading were based on my children's experiences, Zellwood would deserve a 'A'!
