My 5 year old needs bootcamp he is as smart as a 10 year old and he can minupulate and everything.. people say he is only 5 he might not know better and he loves when people say that because he uses that to his advantage he is smart and more slick then most teens he doesnt listen he acts out he disrespects authority its soo bad he just got suspended from school its a shameeee i need boottcamp!
I remember when those words use to come out of my mouth. With so much frustration in my voice and being at my wits end. But there is help and there is a name for what's going on. If you would like to talk further let me know.82808
It would help to know how he demonstrates his disrespect in school. Does he dislike school in general? Does he like any part of school or enjoy his classmates at all? Does he do the same to you at home or is it only at school he demonstrates disrespect?
And what does he gain by doing what he does? You believe that he knows exactly what he is doing and that he does know better - if that's so then he's making a choice to be disrespectful - why? What does that gain him?
Is he angry and the disrespect is an outlet for his anger? Does he enjoy the attention he gets from the teacher when he's disrespectful even though it's negative attention?
Some kids do things because they're kids and don't know better but those kids who know better are then doing it for a reason. What do you think his reason might be? Since you don't have a bootcamp at hand, you might end up needing to puzzle through his behavior with him. Is he overall a happy child? Or is he happier when he's at home and if that's the case then being suspended from school will get him exactly what he wants.82917
