Great teachers and parents! My kids really love to go there
We have had children in this for 5 years now and have 5 more years to go and we absolutely love this school. The teachers are great and the administration is on top of everything going on in the school. They are very approachable when there is a problem.
My daughter has gone there for 3 years and we love it. The staff and teachers are super.
Great school! My child looks forward to school everyday since kindergaten. Now in 4th grade.
I have two children who are students at Baker ES (1st & 3rd grades) and they are shining! The school offers a warm and friendly environment, with awesome teachers. We have loved participating in extracurricular activities (like Science Fair, Family Fun events, Book Fairs, etc.) and we look foward to our children getting involved in more! It seems that diversity is embraced and children of all races are able to receive a great experience. The principal, administration, and teachers have done a great job building a positive school culture at Baker ES. I hope the local Middle School is on point as well!
I have been very impressed by this school. My child entered Kindergarten last year and will be entering First Grade there this year. Although by the end of the year he was to the point of hating school, it was because he wasn't acclimated to the conformity of being in school yet. The Kindergarten teacher was understanding of his situation and worked with him throughout the year to acclimate him to being in school. He looks forward to going back there for First Grade Next year. The only criticism I can offer is that the administration is lacking in compassion and speaks to adults like they are children, however, having grown up with a teacher/principal as my mother, I understand that they are used to dealing with children and it is unitentional. I am pleased with this school overall.
This is a great school. My daugther has learned alot this year. Her fourth grade teacher, Ms. C is such a great teacher. She really loves the kids and gets them to try thier very best in class. The school had feild day this yr, which was awesome for the kids. I hope they continue feild day for now on. I will defiently recommend this elementary school to anyone.
My daughter has attended Baker since kindergarten and is now in 5th grade. I have been very impressed with the teachers in every grade, she has become an avid reader and is well above grade level in reading, math, science and social studies. The teachers are enthusiastic and responsive to parents. We've seen 3 very different pricipals in the last 6 years, there have been some adjustments with each one but overall I have been pleased with the administration.
Let me just say I love baker! I am a parent and teacher at Baker w(just got there this year - Aug. 2007) I actually live in a different school district, but brought my children with me to Baker because of what I see in the teachers and leadership. I see Baker from the inside and outside and it is an awesome school! The teachers have lots of experience and are very attentive to students, making sure they are challenged and progressing well. No child seems to be slipping through the cracks because whether the student needs to be helped or challenged, the student's needs are met. That is a rare find. The principal is also very attentive and knows well what is going on in the classrooms. I am very happy with my twins' 2nd grade experience with Ms. P and Ms. C. I highly reccommend Baker!
My daughter was a third grade student at Baker this year and I cannot say enough about her teacher. The interesting fact about the teacher is that he was a male and I believe the only male third grade teacher. She was very apprehensive about the situation going in, but the progress she made this year in the classroom was remarkable. I only hope that at her next school (we are moving) she finds a teacher who is as interested in the educational well being of her as much as Mr. M was!
