I was a student a NWM for 1 year it by far is superior to the middle school I am an 8th grader at. Northwestern had many clubs great caring teachers and really opened my eyes to diffrent cultures with it's foriegn languages (thank you monsieur Myrtile) I really miss this school its a fantastic place to learn and grow up.
I just finished up a full semester of student teaching at NMS through a program at Kennesaw State University. I must say I was beyond impressed with the administration and the staff's efforts to do everything possible to ensure all students meet or exceed the standards. The high level of team and content collaboration, as well as the administrative support, provides an atmosphere that is conducive to academic and personal success. Most importantly, NMS is a safe and motivating environment for students of all levels and backgrounds. This is where I want to teach and where I want my children to attend one day.
It has an amazing adminitstration and faculty that has the student's best interests at times.
i am a current student at northwesteren middle school this is a great school the teachers are awsome. there might be a lot of kids but all the teachers will give you indivdule attention. I didn't start getting strait A's till i came to morthwesteren. My mom is a teacher here to and she be really tough on me. this is a wonderful school. thank you northwesteren.
School has an excellent reputation for high expectations. Approx. 400 in each grade level, not 500+. Low turnover in staff. That should tell you about the school.
This is a big school-approx. 500+ kids in each grade. If your child needs help to be successful-watch out this place can be a bad ride. If your kid is the Junior Beta type you should be ok. It did not meet our expectations. We come from schools in the North and NWMS doesn't come close to them in leadership or teacher training/quality.
Horrible, Theres barely any homework, teachers barely even know what there teaching, thats why we stayed for one school year, and then moved to east cobb, im much happier here, with their schools, like mt. bethel public, sope creek, dickerson, dodgen, hightower, walton, lassister, and wheeler, just like 2 months ago dickerson was named a georgia blue ribbon school. i don see any of this here, and all those schools are rated 10/10 by greatschools, and the state
Not for everyone-if child is on level work on improving the grades or it will be a bad ride
This school is great! The current principal is a hands on principal and a fan of the average student. He lives by the words of the schools mission statement...Motivate, Achieve and Respect!
Wonderful middle school. I have declined 2 job transfer opportunities to stay in the school district. Very supportive for academics and outside school activities. This school worked with us in 2000 and 2001 for my daughter's horseshow competitions and today she is on the UGA Women's Equestrian Varsity Team! My son, 6 years later, is active in Jr Beta and loves going to school. Thank you to all the teachers and staff.
