While the concept of the school is great, the administrative staff is horrible, namely the counselor. Rude, arrogant, combative, condescending and not interested in helping my child at all....just there for the paycheck and free vacations.....not to mention the no excuse for missing class even if your child is deathly ill! .just say NO

I am a 2008 grad of Idependence high school and I am proud of it. The teachers at the school really care if you graduate and they want to help you do it. The school is a geat way to finish high school and a great place for kids who don't really like the normal high school ways. Parents'S if your son or daughter wants to go there, you should really consider it and go and talk to them.

I think the principal here is one of the best that I have ever had the priviledge to know in the Fulton County system. She is a caring person who gets to know you as an individual.

I'm thrilled with this school! My son has excelled unbelievably and it is due to the caring, encouraging environment. These teachers really and truly care about the success of the students. I think other schools should see this school as an example of how schools should be structured. Thanks for giving my son a chance to show his real potential!

This school is by far the most beneficial to the student. I've attended other high schools and the amount of care given by the teachers here at Independence overshadows the other schools by far. Most students who have to overcome obstacles would never graduate if it weren't for this school.

This is a well-hidden gem, a wonderful small school with talented and caring teachers. Same curriculum and texts as other Fulton County schools but education is available here in a warm, encouraging environment focused on the individual teenager.
