Considering transferring to this school. Our son with a learning disability expressed much anxiety his first week. He suffered some fear entering a larger classroom. In the counselors office, I was called to help and was surprised when the principal along with two assistances entered the small 8x9 room with my son,me and the counselor. I mistakingly made the mistake leaving the room upon her request and came back in to find two adults straddling my son and holding his mouth shut. The poor leadership in the school was evident when we noticed the counselors responsibilities end quickly. The school head needs additional training as to handling ALL children. Typical lazy suggestion " medicate him" as quote ". His previous school expressed that lights ,noise and confined areas create stress. Our pediatrician instantly reminded her about is condition. Leader is expected to exhibit comfort/ solutions . My son was expelled for one week. Upon returning to the school he was ignored by the principal that I felt showed complete lack of professionalism. Many of the staff understand school foundation and guidance,Thank you. The principal should stop parading at her sons restaurant a tad

I have two children at the school, a 1st grader and a daughter who attended from K and is now in 5th. Ocee is a wonderful school with great teachers and an excellent principal. I highly recommend this school.

The programs, activities and parental involvment seem very good so far. I had lunch with my child there and sat with the rest of the kids which was really neat. However, they don't monitor what the kids eat like they did back in my day. One little boy ate his ice cream bar and left everything else; that's all he ate without any word from a monitor. Only ding I have against them at all.

Sept 2006 -my daughter is in her first year @Ocee,we moved from Ct. She loves 2nd grade. The teacher uses all positive reinforcement, teaches the children how to self monitor ,and is giving my daughter problem solving skills. The curriculum uses creative life events to teach certain principles. She loved the Fall Community project!

Ocee is a great school with terrific parent participation, which is a cornerstone for a great education. This school is in it's fifth year, with the start up Principle left to build up another N. Fulton County school. He did a great job getting Ocee off the ground and we will miss him. The current principle is doing a good job as well. You can't get much better than Ocee when it comes to public schools in GA.

We are absolutely thrilled with the education and development that our two children receive at Ocee Elementary School. We have two children in the school and our oldest has been at Ocee since it opened five years ago. We think the school is fantastic because of the high test scores, solid curriculum, caring and effective teachers, competent administration, and very high level of community involvement. There is a tremendous amount of support and volunteer time provided by the parents in the community. Our kids and their friends love going to Ocee as the school provides a very positive environment for learning.

Ocee E.S. is a wonderful school. The leadership of Mr. Anderson since it opened has been first rate. Quality of teachers is high. The school scores consistently in the 90 percentaile in standardized tests. The kids have a sense of pride a ownership in the school. Parents are actively involved and if there is anything lacking that Fulton County cannot provide, the PTA rallies to help provide with volunteers and fund raising. While blessed with resources, the school assists those less fortunate by giving back to the community with charitable activities (clothing, book, food drives, giving tree, etc..

A new and very devoted school with the motto ; ' Ocee where children come first '. A big parents involvement and support. A very good ESOL teacher and program. A very concerned and warm staff who bring a good atmosphere to school everyday.
