Chandler Academy has been wonderful for my children. I would recommend this school through the eighth grade. The teachers really care!

Our two children disliked school before they went to Chandler Academy. In their former classrooms full of thirty students, they felt "lost" and "stupid". After the first few weeks at Chandler, my then sixth grade son said, "Hey Mom, I actually like going to school now!" The individual attention makes all the difference. Each student also has to take responsibility for making and meeting their weekly educational contract goals. They've even been asking to attend the summer sessions!

I have had two children attend Chandler Academy. One is at Georgia Tech on a full scholarship and the other is still a student there. I could not ask for a better experience. They both love school and learning, they both worked at their own pace and on their own ability level so they were never bored or frustrated. I would highly recommend this school to everyone.

Both of my daughters have been at Chandler Academy for two years. I could not be happier with their education. Each student has an individually created curriculum and they receive a great deal of tailored attention. The building is located in a beautiful area, with plenty of fresh air and space to play. There are two horses located on the property and the children plant their own vegetable gardens. I feel that they are building a strong foundation for the future in both skills and in a lifelong love of learning. My girls look forward to going to school every day. I see that some information has been posted that is critical of the school; I believe it was posted by a teacher who was let go, and suggest that the ratings posted by parents (both positive and negative) may be more reliable.

Working at this school I realized it wasn't a place for me. Students were not on any type of schedule and just did book work. This school holds traditional teacher directed instruction with little adjustment to curriculum. While I was there I also noted they were using outdated textbooks and workbooks. I would not recommend sending students to this school

Our son was failing third grade two years ago and we were desperate to find an environment that encouraged him to learn. We considered home schooling but due to our work schedules that was not an option. We were apprehensive at first, to enrol him into Chandler Academy, because it is a very small school on a farm, with only four or so kids per class. But that is exactly what worked so well for our son. When he started, Mr. Hudson tested him and designed a curriculum to suit our son's needs. Within just two months he went from a second grade to a fourth grade reading level. He is now in his second year at Chandler Academy and is on level and above in all subjects. The individualized attention and teacher's dedication make this school a true gem.

My son is a student of the very excellent Chandler Academy. When my husband and I enrolled him into the school, he was failing four subjects and was on the road to failing for the current school year. Chandler Academy's headmaster/curriculum expert immediately began testing our son and identified where the current system of education was failing. Our son was put on a tailored curriculum to address his individual strengths and weaknesses. We are happy to report that our son is confident happy and excelling. It won't be long until he is above his grade level. Chandler Academy is focused on getting your child from where they are, to their full potential. My husband and I wished we had found them sooner. My children attended Chandler Academy. They received wonderful personalized attention. My son is Gifted, with ADHD and dysgraphia. He had been formerly hated school and writing. At Chandler, he reclaimed his love of learning. I would recommend this program to anyone.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
