The lower school program and curriculum is a great nurturing environment to grow up with a strong education and faith. However, once you get to Middle School your child will be asking for your help even if they are a star student because the teacher could not explain well enough. Once high school hits you will find your child one year behind in some areas such as math and history. The Science department holds a strong, firm foundation throughout your child's years at KRCS. Foreign Language and English are just at the right level every grade level. Bible class is a joke and chapel is unappreciated. Fine Arts is growing and very below par compared to private schools in the area for the same amount of money. Athletics are okay, but they are growing and getting better every year. Mainly football and baseball are the only sports getting any attention. The administrative especially Mr. Lowry McCown is corrupt and Corinthianized. Do not be fooled by the new high school! Overall, great lower school and struggling yet growing middle and high school. As of right now, I would not recommend this school because of the administrative and slow, dying progress that is occurring.

We enrolled our child in kindergarten at King's Ridge for the 2012-13 school year. It has been a complete disappointment. We found the administration to be inexperienced and insensitive. Good marketing but not consistent with our experience.

Our children have attended King's Ridge Christian School for the past 4 years. My ONLY regret is I didnt start them here in kindergarten. It has been a wonderful experience on EVERY level...teachers genuinely care about the success of the students both in and OUT of the classroom. They KNOW the students, my child is not lost in the crowd! Academics, Sports, Arts...are all great!

I have a 2nd grader and a kindergartener at KRCS and think that it is an excellent school that is worth every penny!! The academics, teachers, community, christian values . . . everything has exceeded our expectations.

We have three children enrolled in KRCS and are extremely happy with the curriculum, leadership, and the positive effect the school has had on our children.

We are in our 3rd year at this school. Not only do we feel our children are getting a solid education, but the families are great and very supportive of each other.

My children experienced a lack of consistency in the curriculum over a two- year period. This school is eletist with mainly very wealthy parents who have their own agendas.

We are just now ending our first year at KRCS, and our two daughters love it. We transfered from another Christian school due to a move, and found our daughters not skipping a beat either spiritually or academically. They were so welcomed with open arms that within a week they felt very much a part of the school, which is a compliment to not only the teachers and students, but also the administrative staff for creating this enviromment. Additionally, even though this is a smaller, yet growing school, they attack extra-curricular activities as if the school was much larger than it is. If there is a sport to play and interest in it, a team will be created. With the fine arts and music departments on board with this same attitude, this school will continue to grow and graduate well rounded kids prepared for college.

Our family moved just to be closer to this woderful Christian School. My son has been at KRCS for a few years now. We were so pleased with excellent job the staff did transitioning the students into the middle school. We could not be happier with the teachers and their dedication to helping each child reach his/her potential. We are amazed at how much the athletic program has grown each year and how much fun it has been to be a part of! We love this school and hope for all three of our boys and grandchildren to be KRCS Students one day!

Our kids love KRCS and the Christian enviornment has allowed them to be true 8 and 9 year olds. In addition, our son who is a high achiever has been able to excel in this environment.

Our family experienced several grade levels in the lower school. The school's growth has resulted in it's character and personality morphing into an elite group with minimal emphasis on Christian values. Curriculum is inconsistent and not always on grade level (either way above or below). Teachers point parents to costly tutors rather than offering adjunctive support.

Our experience has been very positive at Kings Ridge. We have two children who attend the lower school. Our questions and concerns have always been met with care and have been addressed quickly. As the school grows, the focus remains on christian values. Though we are not one of the schools' major financial supporters, our family is always treated like a cherished part of the community. We feel very blessed to have found such a wonderful school!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
