Profile Completeness

ADVANCED

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

This school was like second home to both my boys for the past few years. The owners are always there and they keep their standards high. The school is very clean and well maintained. It is a very calm and pleasant environment for kids. Some teachers are better than others. We were lucky with great teachers. I definitely recommend this school.

I enrolled both my children at Crabapple Montessori at the age of 3! When I first went to observe this school I knew that I had found the place I wanted my children to begin their education experience ! My children learned so much and really enjoyed being there on a daily basis. They gained confidence in their social interactions and in their abilities to read and write. They learned about different cultures and customs and became aware of our world. I am so happy that they received such a strong base to begin their education!i highly recommend this school and cannot wait until my new baby is ready to experience Crabapple Montessori too!!!

My daughter attended the Crabapple Montessori for 3 years. Her toddler teacher was positive, full of energy, yet firm. She was potty trained right after her 2nd birthday. She moved to the Primary Class when she turned 3 and it was a beautiful experience. Her teachers instilled a love of learning, respect for others as well as all living things. She developed a strong self confidence as well as learning how to read and write when she was 4 years old. Birthday celebrations were beautiful as well. Instead of focusing on sugar treats, we made a poster with pictures from every year of her life. Her teacher put a globe of the world in the middle of a carpet with the class sitting in a circle around it. Then my daughter would make trips around the globe and share a memory from each year of her life. Lunchtime was peaceful. The lights are turned off and the children eat in natural light from the windows while listening to peaceful music. The children are responsible for setting up lunch and cleaning up afterwards. My daughter took pride in helping teach younger children because she had learned from children who were older than her. I strongly recommend the Crabapple Montessori.

We have had a very positive experience at CMS. We had two children attend and both were very happy in the classroom. Additionally, both kids made progress academically and benefited from the multicultural environment.

Make sure your child is a good fit with his/ her teachers. Some teachers are very sweet but others treat the children coldly. Go with your instincts and observe the classroom if possible. Our child's teacher was a nightmare!

CMS is an excellent school focusing on building foundation for children's learning, personality and behavior! My daughter has been in CMS for past 3 years. She has mastered many good skills and manners from the school, and enjoys going to school everyday! This school also has great environment which is maintained clean and tidy, I noticed fewer kids get sick in this school. The owner and most teachers make us feel this is a big family!

Crabapple Montessori is full of professional, caring teachers that believe in the students' ability to achieve success and overcome challenges. My toddler developed valuable skills while attending the half-day program. She's confident, independent, and curious about learning.

My two kids went here and we pulled them. Some teachers ae great, some are plain awful. Seems like the great ones don't stay that long. Director is nice, but doesn't listen to parents regarding some of the poor quality and downright nasty teachers. Such a shame!

My daughter has very much benefited from this school. We love the quiet and peaceful environment in the entire school and this suited my daughters personality. She has become very independent and confident by attending this school. The teachers are all great. The after school programs are also fantastic. And the management staff is very helpful as well. Overall my experience about this school has been wonderful and I recommend it to everyone.

We have had all our children go through Montessori schools from toddler up to high school and would thoroughly recommend Crabapple Montessori's elementary program. You would be hard pressed to find a more dedicated Montessori teacher! The staff are always helpful and friendly.

The elementary teacher has no communication skills with the parents and/or children, does not seem to even like children and lead them by scaring and bullying them. This person can potentially create irreversible psychologic trauma on fragile children. Use of sarcasm on very little kids and Belittling of others for not real cause.

This school is one of the best Montessori schools I have ever seen. I have had children in several schools through the years (I have 4 children) and this one is by far managed the best. The administration is absolutely not just out for money! They met with me several times before we joined the school - allowed my son to attend FOR FREE for a week to ensure this was the best fit for him. Both my children who attended this school not only learned academically, but BLOSSOMED and THRIVED. You just can't ask for more! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this school!

The teachers at this school are wonderful. However, the teachers never seem to stay. The teacher turn over is very high at this school and I think that is a reflection of the administration. The administration has one goal in mind and it is money not what is best for the children. I would not recommend sending your child to this school.

Our toddler had a great experience at Crabapple, his first school experience. The teacher was fantastic -- we never worried about him or his well-being during the school day. The facilities are well-maintained and reflect the strengths of the Montessori discipline. The administrators are welcoming and open to parent involvement. This is a great educational opportunity for local families.

This is a wonderful school. I cannot say enough positive things about our son's experience there. He had been at another local preschool, and I was concerned about the transition to Montessori, but it was seamless. Wish I had known about this little jewel earlier. Our son absolutely thrived at this school. Perhaps the highest compliment I can pay is the assurance that we will definitely send our infant son there once he is 18 months old.

Our daughter started Crabapple Montessori at 18 mths and now at 2 1/2 has completely blossomed. Her vocabulary has increased, her independence and her confidence in completing tasks herself. The teacher in the toddler program are amazing and provide monthly newsletters to allow the parents to know what happens in school. The programs for parents/families are amazing. I would definitely recommend this school.

Both of my children have attended Crabapple Montessori. My son is in his third and final year. There are not enough good things to say about this school and the experiences my children have had here. Each day I see behaviors in my children that I know were learned at Crabapple Montessori. I know we made the right decision.

My daughter has attended CMS since she was 18 months and she is now just over 3 years old. The director, teachers, and assistance are skilled and loving. This school offers support and education not only to the children but to the parents. We are very happy with our decision to enroll our daughter here and would not change anything.

My daughter has attended Crabapple Montessori since she was 18 months old. She is currently 4 years old. We have been so pleased with the quality of the curriculum as well as the high quality and dedication of the teaching staff. We didn't live near this Montessori school when our other two daughters were in preschool and now I wish we had. Our 3rd daughter continues to surprise me with what she can do and what she is learning. She loves school and we couldn't be more satisfied with our experience there.

We are in our fourth year at Crabapple Montessori. Our oldest child did two years of preschool and kindergarten there. Our youngest child is currently there in a toddler program. Montessori is a fabulous way to start your child's education. The teachers are wonderful. We love the school!

Our son, now 6, has been at CMS since he was 18 months - 4 1/2 years. The montessorie program has been tremendous for him. He has learned independence, grace, patience, and many other things. Most of all, he has learned how to learn. The school administration is very fair, balanced and attentive, and the teachers are wonderful.

Crabapple Montessori offers a diverse student body and faculty. The administration is extremely open and welcomes parent involvement and interest. They are very accessible and strive to create a happy, healthy and safe learning environment for all of the students. The size offers the opportunity to truly get to know everyone at the school, while offering an extensive curriculum to provide students with a well-rounded education and many learning opportunities.

This is our first year at Crabapple Montessori, and we've been nothing but impressed with the staff and curriculum. The school offers: fluid communication between Administrators and Staff, diversity, a balanced approach to learning, daily exercise, and healthy lunches & snacks. Our child is enrolled in the toddler program which is designed to promote independence and confidence in children. The children work independently and in groups. They learn to be respectful of others; their space and property. The teacher(s) provide parents with monthly newsletters, and two conferences during the year to discuss their child's development. Our child was enrolled in daycare for one year. We found there to be no structure, lacked consistency, and the administrators did not communicate with the staff & parents leading to a number of issues. Overall, we've found Crabapple Montessori to be a nurturing, healthy environment for our child.

We love this school. It's perfect for our child who is in his second year. We love the involved teachers, the warm staff, owners etc. We especially like the guest lecturers who teach montessori concepts, how to raise a calm child etc. Not only our child but we have also learnt a lot.

Crabapple Montessori School is an excellent School ! I have two girls who have been there since 2007/2008. Their 'Love for Learning' is so beautiful to see develop! The school itself is an awesome enviroment(spacious classrooms, outdoor gardens) not to mention the experienced staff that 'loves' what they are doing. I feel fortunate to have found a preschool of this caliber. Maria & Wali Haider are wonderful people to work with in providing your child with a quality preschool experience !! I would recommend this school to all who wish to instill the 'Love for Learning' in their child !

My child has been at Crabapple Montessori for 1 year and my wife and I are very pleased with all aspects of the environment. When we first decided to look into this school we went online and found a video on Youtube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KriPqoZxWGY ). It was difficult to believe that toddlers were actually excercising solid executive function skills but a couple of visits left me impressed. The owners, teachers, parents and children care.

I am very disappointed at the high rate of teacher turnover as well. My child has had a different teacher every year. He will have another teacher next year, if we decide to stay. The teachers seem fabulous but they do not stay, some have stayed for only a year. In my opinion, it must be an adminstrative issue.

As a grandparent of a student at the school, I have to say that I'm greatly disappointed in the fact that this school can't seem to keep good teachers. It comes to mind that there is a management issue here. The Montessori concept of learning is a great one and the teacher that they are losing this year has a great passion for the Montessori way of teaching and would have been a continued huge asset to the school had they made sure she was kept on staff. I have shared my opinion that my grandchild should be moved to another school. Good schools keep good teachers.

This is a lovely school with a beautiful and well-kept, safe facility, excellent teachers and staff, and a great multi-cultural mix of children. My daughter has really enjoyed the school, especially the toddler room. For most kids, this is the best developmental environment you can put your child in for the first 6 years of life. If you want a school that will encourage your child to think for his or her self, develop their decision-making skills, good manners, cultural awareness, and nurture their brains with sensorily stimulating materials (proven through research), this is the place. If you prefer a more structured program where your child is told to 'do this', 'go here, go there', this may not be the school you will choose. The only negative I've found at this school has been a fast turn-over of teachers.
