Sumter County Elementary School is 'rocketing to success.' The curriculum is very strong. There are also many extra curricular activities. Students have the opportunity to participate is the Dance Team, Chorus, Drama Team, Garden Club, and more. The PTO is very involved and offers many activities to increase the morale of students and teachers.
The academic programs at SCES are solid programs that show success for most students. There are a great many extracurricular activities for students. The PTO could be more active, but has made efforts to involve more families this year. Dr.Mays has brought a new energy to the school and Mrs. Roberts continues to support parents and students. The children receive PE, art, music, computer, and extension classes in science and social studies. CRCT prep is intense. Teachers are geniunely interested in their students and show it!
