If I were rating only the teachers, the food program or my children's happiness, I would give Waseca 5 stars. Our very positive experiences in the classroom are damaged by our experiences with the administration. The communication is terrible, the office is very disorganized, the book keeping is problematic, the high number of scheduled closed days is a tremendous burden on working parents. The child/teacher ratios in the 3-6 year old class have recently increased significantly. I would like to reiterate my family's positive experiences in the classroom. The teachers are fantastic. My children are extremely happy with their daily environment there.

We have been very pleased with our 3 year old daughter's experience thus far. She has caring and patient teachers who have helped make the transition from a sitter to school much easier by engaging her in an activity when she arrives. Early drop-off and late pick-up are a plus for working parents. Great after school program. She has become more independent by helping do tasks such as preparing and serving lunch to herself, as well as clean up. She is able to explore subjects that interest her as she chooses. The freedom to explore and self-select was important in selecting Waseca. She is in a class with older children who are able to help guide and introduce her to different areas. Naps are permitted. Children are allowed bathroom and water breaks as frequently as needed. A drumming class is being offered at this time. So far so good.
